I use one from eBay from a chink who lets you send a pic and he prints it on the case (brand name is Case88, and normal cases are also available and really good). It was around 15-20$ but it's much better quality than the one my mother got for herself from a local store for 10€. Her case got scratched and torn as if it was put in a blender. Mine still looks and feels like new almost a year after purchase. The only down side from ordering a custom print is that it smells like paint for a few weeks if they ship it the next day.

You only need to use front pockets in your pants with it, first for wallet+smartphone combo, second for keys/other small shit. So it also means it's harder to steal anything from you, since stealing from front pockets is pretty hard.
Also, you are less likely to forget to take it with you when you are going out.

Personally I use my phone without a case in one pocket (right, I'm left handed), and ultra-slim wallet, pack of cigarettes, portable ash tray, wallet, keys, and lighter in the left pocket. Open to suggestions since that left front pocket feels crowded sometimes. Maybe put the wallet with the phone? Wish I could quit smoking but it's going to be a hard road to travel if I ever do it.
