A ThinkPad is unironically a solid choice. I'd suggest something from the x-series because they're more lightweight which obviously is essential if you're running all over a giant campus all day.

I use an x200 tablet, I wouldn't suggest anything much older than this for most people. You can usually find one for like $80USD (~71EUR).

I'd also recommend getting a 500gb or so ssd, that should kind of be self-explanatory.

Sometimes these things can be kind of dirty but they're extremely easy to clean up and basically anything that fails can be swapped out and replaced for pretty cheap.

It's also worth noting that the keyboards on these older models are probably some of the best laptop keyboards you'll ever type on.
