What about the secrit sauce, don’t forget the secrit sauce

And the Intel secret dungeons!

>Ryzen remains faster

I honestly think Intel will never release another Core sekrit sauce, ever. Ice lake is a nice bump but not really something amazing. Sunny Cope doesn't look that astounding either, and that's supposed to come out in 2021 or 2022 when AMD is on 5nm.

t-they still have dominance in the laptop market

Are the cats alright?

no, Ryzen is beating them

Too big to die, no matter what happens over the short term they'll still ship out 100 mil laptop CPUs annually. It will however take them until 2021-2022 to be competitive in enterprise again.

Sunny Cove is now a stupid wide core, which is great, but non AVX uplift over prior arch is paltry. Theres still a bottleneck somewhere in the core preventing all that execution width from translating into actual performance uplift.

Zencore on 5nm will probably be wider, there's a rumor AMD will go 4 threads per core that sounds too much

I'd say its a safe bet that AMD is going to try to keep focusing on IPC instead of pushing clocks higher. I don't think 4 way SMT has much chance of materializing though. Sure it may be technically possible, but it'd be an enormous headache for anything not extremely well threaded. The 2nd logical thread on each Zen core can provide 38%~ uplift, threads 3 and 4 might only offer 15% and then 10% or lower. Scheduling anything to those threads would be killing performance unless every other core and thread were utilized already. The usage case outside of enterprise is just far too niche to be worth the power draw.

aren't some people talking about a magical hardware scheduler though
not that I buy into it, the 4way smt sounds weird to me

It's a sterelization party. Food is for the amateur surgeons.

People always hype up shit that never exists/happens. Thats how the entire Bulldozer family came to disappoint everyone with each iteration.

give me the rundown on this image

They use the same core chiplets on epyc, ryzen, and soon(?) threadripper.
If they choose to add SMT4 then it'll probably be for the server market and later trickle down to ryzen but only for the R9 and maybe R7 if they feel generous.

Only in the desktop and server markets.

18 cores? Good lord.

Till AMD releases a cheap Atom/Celeron tier CPU for cheap.

Why would Intel be dying when it outperforms AMD in FPS in the most popular games. Don't make me bring out the graphs

Because nobody wants to pay $2000 for a CPU when there is a $400-800 option that is almost as good and does the job.

by how much in 144p sir
sir how much more AVX-512 code should we put into games please sir my family is starving sir

Someone please post the list of things that don't matter to Intel anymore.

Ever play an RTS game where you get resource-locked or forget to develop something in the tech-tree, and get stalled for several minutes as you modernize your infrastructure again?
That's Intel.

Enjoy your 15 fps games or slower rendering because it doesnt matter if you have 8 more threads and they're still shit :)

Sunny cope is good but it should have come out years ago instead of coffeelake. Then again 14nm should have been 8cores from the start as well, imagine if skylake was 8cores, desktop ryzen 1000 would have landed flat and then followed soon after by a 14nm sunny cove. Sure enterprise would still goto zen2, it just wouldn't be so tilted as it is now.

Only until the current contracts with the OEMs run out.

delid dis post sir buy intel ples

Yes of course. Intel will be gone by 2025.

>if skylake was 8cores
Still the same $500 price tag due to ringbus scaling like shit

jesus fucking christ the absolute state

The price is intel never wanting to drop margins that grew when they kept everything at 4core. Nehelam 4cores were over 200mm^2 and skylake 4cores were ~130mm^2.
Ringbus scaling meme is a thing for server chips. 8core rings are okay, when haswell had too many cores in it's high core count dies they had to introduce double ring buses. This caused buffers and extra latency when traversing between rings and introduced numa problems.
Microsoft patched in an update to windows that allowed it to recognise 2 NUMA nodes per socket to help with this ringbus mess.
Funnily enough that same patch also made windows see the 2990wx as a max of 2NUMA nodes instead of 4 which was what caused the performance problems at it's launch.

I don't know why Jow Forums gets their panties in a bunch over this stuff. The market doesn't give a fuck how 'inclusive' a company is. If hiring unqalified personnel for the sake of inclusiveness renders them uncompetitive, they'll either soon go back to meritocracy or they will die.

lol, how naive.

Enjoy getting eaten by China.

thats an over simplified way of putting the consequences. what if theyre the only company that makes a certain thing you enjoy? then the thing you enjoy is shit and there is no alternative. and no one said the market gives a shit, even though it actually sometimes does. people post this because they know its the infection that keeps tearing companies apart and they want to laugh about it or expose it. youre not really enlightened, stop thinking so highly of yourself.

AMD has the superior product once a decade. The rest of the time Intel is always the superior and more expensive choice.
Now it's obviously that time for AMD and only a fool would buy an Intel processor at the moment.

Attached: 1466133662556.jpg (1270x1752, 212K)

there women. That's all they have in common

Except there are alternatives, so they can get fucked if they decide to poison themselves.

>stating the obvious is enlightenment

Jeffrey Epstein had the blue prints for their new processors now that he's gone Intel will go belly up.

Save this

These are people. They exist.
Why do some celebrate this?
Why do others get angry?

What the actual fuck

can't believe AMD killed him.

>AMD has the superior product once a decade
Except for gaming, which composes most of the mainstream market. Literally no point in getting a ryzen given intel's superior offerings such as the 9400f (best price to performance) and the 9700k (second best gaming CPU in the world).

oh no no no no no no no

Attached: image.png (596x2233, 864K)

>Why do others get angry?
try actually reading the post then you'll know why someone would get angry about it. "culture of inclusion" implies theyre hiring people based on diversity and not on skill. being an epic centrist doesnt make you enlightened.

AMD has always been the CPU for non-gaming. Even Bulldozer was like that.

imagine actually believing this

Too bad Intel gets BTFO in CSGO

Bulldozer 8c always came out ahead in workstations, just not gaming.

Imagine 3700x beating 9900k

720p, intel fanboy's "premium" gaming resolution.

1 product that barely wins, closer to margin of error.

Wait until he drops 480p benchmarks

Ok two things wrong here:

False
>implying there's a significant difference between 7700k and newer chips, clock for clock.
lol

>not benchmarking in 144p

or bribe all OEM to peddle their inferior garbage thus reaping benefits to repay the same OEM next year etc

Yeah they've been trying to repeat that but surprisingly this time around the DOJ and EU-Com are having none of it.

Wait for renoir

Should be out before mid year 2020, no idea on what level of performance we'll see form it though.

>Ryzen given significantly faster memory

>Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii.[3] Infections with toxoplasmosis usually cause no obvious symptoms in adults.[2] Occasionally, people may have a few weeks or months of mild, flu-like illness such as muscle aches and tender lymph nodes.[1] In a small number of people, eye problems may develop.[1] In those with a weak immune system, severe symptoms such as seizures and poor coordination may occur.[1] If infected during pregnancy, a condition known as congenital toxoplasmosis may affect the child.[1]

>Toxoplasmosis is usually spread by eating poorly cooked food that contains cysts, exposure to infected cat feces, and from an infected mother to her baby during pregnancy.[3] Rarely, the disease may be spread by blood transfusion.[3] It is not otherwise spread between people.[3] The parasite is known to reproduce sexually only in the cat family.[8] However, it can infect most types of warm-blooded animals, including humans.[8] Diagnosis is typically by testing blood for antibodies or by testing amniotic fluid for the parasite's DNA.[4]

They know they can never get more hertz. Theyaill still use 14nm on desktops leaving new techniques for laptop and enterprise if they can pay.

>t. I saw a thread on Jow Forumsso now I know everything about it
You could read the rest of the Wikipedia article, you know?

I think no because people will keep buying from them because they think it’s the only good company out there.

Government corruption.

Thank you based intel for more feminism, pajeets and trannies.

That artwork is insipid.
