True ray tracing can be implemented in anything that can produce images to a file or screen. Regardless what NVIDIA does it rely on drivers and APIs all of which can be used in most languages that have CFFI.

Java Edition (old version) is still actively maintained. The new version coded in C++ is "Bedrock Edition" which is based on Pocket Edition
