link to the driver? can't find it

I wonder what image quality (((improvements))) are responsible for this.
I had to go back to R418 because R430 was a stutterfest...

>starting at 6am PT on August 20th.

Wait a few more hours for driver release

oh boy can't wait for it to require a gf experiences account of some sort of signing in

You don't, faggot

You can always download full installer from nvidia.com or geforce.com

2 minutes lads

Image quality has been uniform since G80.

or actually 4 hours

I was updating my shit a few days ago and GeForce required me to make an account on their site to use hardware I’ve had Installed on my machine for 5 years
How the fuck is this acceptable?

Also now the GeForce thing is constantly in my task bar on start up yet isn’t an option in msconfig

>big perf improvements in titles where AMD was ahead
>fucking INTEGER scaling finally
>low latency mode
>customizable sharpening filter
>30 bit color support
>RTX
No reason to buy Navi now.

wut
6am PT is in 4 hours

Reminder to download drivers from the nvidia site and not geforce site, and then use NVslimming utility to remove all the bloat from the installer.

FINEWINE BTFO

what kind of improvements should i expect on my 2080Ti?

>NVIDIA are literally this nervous
Navi a best. Based AMD.

Attached: gamescom-2019-geforce-game-ready-driver-apex-legends-performance-improvements.png (850x482, 59K)

Integer Scaling meaning it will scale on GPU and not on monitor, correct?

>20% boost at 1440p
Get the fuck out of here. What secret sauce did they throw on now?

amd was getting too cocky

imagine getting a 20% from driver update. who even need to upgrade lol

>20xx shit
Who cares what about the 10xx cards fucking nshitia

Everyone who knows what they're talking about expected Turing performance to improve over time. Nice to see it benefit old software too. They might have improved the async scheduling or integer utilization.

NVIDIA is now, literally, reacting to AMD rather than the other way around.
I've never seen NVIDIA this nervous before. Lisa Su's AMD must be doing something right.

Attached: 1539678416456.png (1024x1097, 234K)

apparently jfc Nvidia twisting the damned knife. What's next? Nvidia gonna announce a price drop? I mean I wasn't concerned with budget when I bought my 2080ti to begin with but I've never seen anything close to 20% or hell even 10% better performance from a driver on any of my hardware over.

they usually also benefit as some of those games they mention don't have RTX cancer in them

Imagine wanting to upgrade from Super series already. They just hit the shelves. Any performance update now is just honing out the kinks.

These are specific games where AMD does much better. Likely hitting a bad edge case of NVIDIA's drivers.
NVIDIA probably put a lot of effort into optimizing these for this reason.

Wrong. Nvidia does wrong this year. They made bad and expensive cards with Ray tracing meme which works bad.

There are no specific kinks in the super cards. They are only overclocked and less cut down versions of the same old chips. Any optimizations affect the whole 20xx lineup.

yep
I'm impressed how fast they made their own version of sharpening tool that was literally better than DLAA or whatever it's called

Am I going to see these improvements on my ancient GTX970?

like 6 or so years ago we got shader cache that was like 5-7% or performance for free

I don't know about better. But it definitely is sharp.
I suspect they quickly threw together what's literally a sharpening filter, if not outright copied the open source code from AMD's scaler.

probably but don't expect 20% extra

not particularly good thing though
youtube.com/watch?v=3fmvxgCVzhY

Sharpening filters are the easiest shit to make. Literally a dozen lines of HLSL. AMD hyping their specific version was transparent to anyone with a decent level of technical knowledge. Only the shills and the ignorant fell for it.

well it worked well enough so now nvidia users will have that option available

>an already dead game
what is the point?

open link from OP and see other titles

Making a sharpening filter is indeed easy.
Making a *good* sharpening filter, however...

I wonder if they used open source AMD code to make their own on a quick, also you need geforce bloatware for it

>zoomers have never heard of anisotropic filtering

>Literally a dozen lines of HLSL.
the point of good filter is not to make textures look bad, any idiot can make sharpening filter for the sake of sharpening
look at mankind divided, enabled it and textures go to hell

Pixel peeping compressed video without perfectly standardized frames isn't evidence of anything. That video seems to point out a lot of differences that don't actually exist as well. You could probably find a difference in anisotropic filtering with test patterns though.

us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/436.02/436.02-win10-win8-win7-release-notes.pdf

Release notes already available

SOTR is true though, textures don't look as good on nvidia, you start noticing a lot of little things over the years, specially replaying older games on different hardware
it's hard to prove and would take more than 5min youtube video, but that's the feeling I got.

hotfix tomorrow? they've been hotfixing drivers for 8 months now

If you take the tomb raider shots line them up and flip between them you will see they are not the same frame. The difference you're seeing is a difference in the position of the character or the camera.

I exchange amd/nvidia every other gen, there is something off starting with maxwell on nvidia, I can't prove it as I said.

That is some windows 10 level bs kek.

>>fucking INTEGER scaling finally
How do I activate this and can I use it on a regular 2060?
Also, what the fuck this does?
I understand my 800x600 porn games will look better?

Attached: 1565553209716.png (971x798, 663K)

you can expect almost as good as CRT resolution scaling
store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/

That shit you posted look like shit, like the scaled version was painted with crayons
I hope this one looks like this instead

this is literally the same, the image nvidia gave is compressed

Attached: 1535824947980.jpg (1920x1080, 433K)

get fucked 1080p and 1440p

Its the antialias version where it looks like shit
Oh well I will just wait for drivers and try it myself
When are they coming anyways

3 hours

Shit games don't matter

wew lad, press F to dab on ayymd

Attached: 1556476931428.png (292x257, 95K)

Without AMD you'd have to pay 1500$ for those improvements with a "new" RTX 2085 Ti SUPER DUPER.

My 2060 was 290€
Stay mad, faggot

who gives a fuck about that part?

it has Image sharpening and low latency in it too

THAKN YOU BASED AMD AND INTEL FOR MAKING NOVIDIA ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING GOOD.

finally, nvidia invented integer scaling

>everything above is bullshit
>no proper win7 support
into the garbage it goes.

Sharpening filter sounds good for the games that use shit taa and don't have or have Sharpening settings with a slider

underrail with 1.5 scale and anti-aliasing

Attached: 1554619929761.gif (1500x745, 1.46M)

Or literally, you'd never have these improvements in the first place.
It's easy to "me too" once somebody else has already done it.

You clearly don't understand. Look what nv did to the pro GPU market with pricing. They were able to do that because AMD can't compete with CUDA.
I have a 2080, because it "matters".
Fucking blind fanboys.

I have a RTX 2080, will Nvidia gimp my card so I'll be forced to buy the Super version?

>introduces integer scaling
Looks like Nvidia is scared of Intel.

Is that sharpening filter similar to AMD's big brain selective sharpening thing, or just a normal sharpening filter shoved onto Freestyle?

Why did my retarded ass have to buy a navi. What is wrong with me.

I really hope they keep outsmarting each other with shit like this. Shame amd rarely delivers

>RTX
So no support for older? Jewvidia strikes again.

Is this improvement for the RTX meme or is it overall raw performance of the card?

>or just a normal sharpening filter shoved onto Freestyle?
likely AMD code hidden in new filter.

it's an improvement so 5700xt doesn't run faster than 2080ti in those select games

>2080ti over 5700xt
I mean based on pricing that's how its supposed to be. In the end I'll just end up getting what is better for the price. The more they do this, the better

in those four games it still runs as fast as 2080ti though.

So in "mid" range the 5700xt is still better? I'm just deciding between 2060 super and this since they are equally priced in my country

Against the 2060 super, even the base 5700 is better. I'd grab the sapphire pulse 5700xt if I were to buy today.

Where the fuck are the drivers? It's already 6am

My 2080ti is fine wining already

on per game basis nothing changed.
2060S~=5700>5700XT~=2070S

It feels like the safest bet. I'm upgrading from an ancient GTX660

*whirrs at 51dB*

Is this only for their rtx cards or for all novidia cards? I just bought a 1660ti to replace a 580 in a VR rig will this boost shit or should i just return it and grab one of those fancy rtx crap?

hahaha, these are the games where the $400 5700 xt smokes the $550 2070 super. nvidia is feeling the heat. and this also shows theyre gimping driver performance while you cuck out and overpay them for it.

This is the video that was literally using slightly different angles to fuck with the AA and AF to claim there is a difference in image quality. Someone in the last thread that posted this garbage called it out

The sapphire pulse? No way, sapphire are always the best cards, this time too.

Intel proposed doing integer scaling first but they're still working on it
