just wait, some of us are AMD all the way.

interesting sag fix

cheap fixes are great.
If its stupid, but works, it ain't stupid.

Im have an AMD build but the whole 'X all the way' shit pisses me off
youre supposed to buy whats best for the price youre willing to pay rather than fellate one company and trashtalk the other

I really hate this cpu cooler design. so ugly to look into someone's window and see these ugly ass fans staring at me

who uses windowed cases?

it was the best cost to performance at the time. Even if it were not, its ME and PSP free. Id pay double for a little extra peace of mind

No argument from me. I'm the kind of guy who disconnects all the front peripherals/ports and just uses the rear to avoid cable clutter.

Meshify c, no window.

black fans? cable management? never heard of those

>that zip-tie chain
good to know i wasnt the only one doing this shit

also in line with other stuff. It may be ugly, but it works, and keeps all of the components cool unlike tower designs.

So long as your cables are (mostly) out of the way, I'd say it's fine.

Attached: IMG_20190818_000330.jpg (1943x1500, 2.14M)

Your case is fine, zoom zooms and autists are the only ones who'd call this shit out. Look at how many giant gaps you have in your case for cable management and you're using them.

You're fine.

Is that the crappy rosewill case? At least you did the sensible thing and mounted the mechanical drive in one of the 5'25" bays. I've seen a bunch of stupid YouTuber's mount it directly on that side thing over the burning hot exhaust fan of the processor.

storage server or tons of porn?

Swapping the fans for Noctuas. Gonna redo the paste and thermal tape on the gpu. Rate pls.

I like it user. Nice clean look to it.

case?

Lian Li A04 popular in 2011

Those guys make great cases.

I agree. It’s super old now but it adds a little charm to the build with age.

cringe

Why does everyone say people with a bunch of HDD's are "CP servers/hoarders"? Where did this meme originate?

no it's not. I've had that EVGA unit in plenty of builds and they worked fine for years. Unless you're running at 99% of its' efficiency for its entire life, you've nothing to worry about.

Maximum zoomer how many FPS do you get in Fortnite?

I only play fallout shelter

YO

Attached: angles0.jpg (1971x1314, 697K)

To be fair EVGA does still put out some "junk" PSUs in the eyes of enthusiasts
But you are correct, as long as the unit isn't defective and your are not pulling it's rated current like 24/7 it'll last damn near forever and is still way overkill for it's version of the ATX specification

I've been lurking, sad to say this build has a nh-d14 and a old 7950 and is used to look up parts in my farm shop.

Cable management isn't too hard. At least tape them to the side or something, or invest in a case with a raised backplate.

dusty, spaghetti mess, and why don't you have your video card in the first PCIe slot? Other than that, everyone's first PC is usually similar.
THICC/10. What GPU is that? I had an R9 Fury Sapphire Nitro back when it launched. Fucker was like 13" long
you don't need to be a pro. Just turn the pics the right way. 3.32MB picture and it's not even turn proper. C'mon now.

whats the point of these threads

Its an Aerocool case. I had to remove the actual hard drive pays to fit the gpu

To show off your computer hardware/aesthetics? Are you fucking retarded?

is that a sound card?

would you rather larp in the speccy thread?

Sound Blaster Zx, yeah

Attached: 20190301_144701_HDR.jpg (4656x3492, 967K)

it's not larping if you do it online, retard

My friend placed the only CPU fan on the left side as a blower. Should I move it to the right?

>u can tell shit by looking at someones hardware

Id rather have reasonable discussion on, why i chose these components etc

tone it down with the vignette filter. However good choice in cooler.
why the sound card? You just had it already and figured why not? Most on board if perfectly fine.

My in-progress media server

I found someone selling a Fractal Design R5 for $25 so I had to scoop it up, hobbled together 3+TB of recycled HDDs from work, and inherited a nice motherboard with some Corsair AIO CPU cooler. One of these drives has a click of death so I'm going through them one by one to see which is dead. I have about 2TB waiting in the bullpen for me to find more HDD caddies and cages.

Also I found a spare 770 OC which is handy because this mobo and CPU don't have an iGPU, so when I get my OS installed I'm removing it and all the terrible molex to SATA connectors I'm using.

Attached: 20190822_235413.jpg (4032x3024, 3.19M)

The DAC on my mobo is great but the SB card gives me more IO options, has great performance, looks cool and mostly because it came with a desk volume knob/hub for headphones and 5mm jack

Attached: 20190705_171051_HDR.jpg (2849x3799, 1.68M)

So how much in total?

>u can tell shit by looking at someones hardware
...uh, yeah? What are you even trying to say?

Those are all 500GB and I have another 2TB in 500GB drives waiting in the wings. I work at an MSP so we occasionally get parts to recycle which is where I source this stuff from. The downside to that is I need to make sure the recycled parts aren't actual garbage and we get a lot of trash.

I'm hoping to get at least 6+TB in here when its all said and done. I'm also curious to see how an AIO will do without a fan on the radiator

Yeah?

Attached: 125135124.jpg (3503x3072, 2.45M)

Are you implying that you are incapable of looking at an image of someone else's rig and making some sort of judgement on it? I don't think you realize what the fuck you're even trying to argue about.

Shouldn't you be trying to fix your sleep schedule for when middle school starts back up?

So, what am i running in my rig tell me come on

simply epic

Attached: IMG_5949.jpg (4032x3024, 3M)

That an R5? Fractal R5 makes a FANTASTIC server case. Although why did you remove the 5.25" bays? They're good for more HDD's via caddies.

Pic related. My server.

That's the point of these threads; it's not some guessing game you absolutely stupid fucking retard.

Yeah I got lucky, I actually already have an R5 so a 2nd is great.
I still have they bays - I'll use them I'm sure. Initially I was going to put hot swap bays in them but the front door wouldn't shut anymore so I'll be on the lookout for something to replace them with. I also need more HDD caddies for the cage you see there.
I'm sure I'll end up with your tier of storage when I spend some actual coin - so far this has cost $25 and 3+ hours of time lmao
Speccy is server stats. For some reason I'm only getting 8GB of 16GB usable from my RAM and I'm not sure why. Also still looking for HDD that died. I heard it clicking on boot and now it doesnt appear in disk management or Speccy

>Shit case.
>bomb psu

the funniest thing about these threads is the poorfags living off government assistance who have to push their shit builds to the limit, criticize anybody with an income who can afford good shit.

Stay mad, you'll never know what its like to have currency.

>bragging about being rich on an anonymous anime imageboard

then remove the fan. Honestly bottom fans barely help at all. Especially with it as an exhaust as you have it.
I personally like top PSU mounted cases. Can't argue too much with that PSU though.
Did you take the PSU cover/shelf out? Those HDD's look like they were just tossed in there.
specs? I'm going to assume 9900k and dual 2080Ti's? How is the scaling for 2x 2080Ti's?
>that one red RAM DIMM throwing off the entire blue build

>Did you take the PSU cover/shelf out?
Yes, otherwise full size atx mobo wont fit.
>Those HDD's look like they were just tossed in there.
I just slapped two drives on top of each other and put them on a stock mount position. It is pretty noisy tho. Hdd is bolted straight to the metal.
