This.

ATi All-in-Wonder 9600
>set it up and watched TV on my computer for one night
>never watched TV on it again after that

GeForce 2 GTS

Pretty sure my parents were conned into getting it by the computer shop and told it was an amazing card at the time (around 2000).

Geforce 2 GTS was no con.

First 3D card was a TNT; went from that to a Geforce 2 GTS.

imagine being such uninteresting losers that you do everything on iGPU. lol fucking losers.

That's good, too bad the rest of that computer was plagued with problems, that's why I didn't trust the computer shop that sold it to us.

gtx 1070

Voodoo3 3000

Was it a P3 1.13GHz?

Attached: vic.jpg (800x600, 54K)

Either an AMD wonder or Mach 8. Can't remember desu.

9600GT
And it was great

Here's all of mine in order

GeForce 2 GTS
Radeon 9800 AIW,
GeForce 9600 GT
GTX 580
GTX 770
GTX 1070

geforce 7900 GT/O

not really my first but it was the first i ever built with anyway

*ATi
This was long before AMD bought them.

voodoo 2 3dfx 16mb banshee pci video card

It was P3 500 MHz, 256 MB of SDR RAM, a 20 GB HDD, and some no-name chinesium power supply which eventually blew up and took the whole system with it. It had weird IRQ conflict issues, and other weird problems I couldn't solve at the time because I was just a stupid 13/14 year old.

Gt 8400

9200se. my gpu history has been like, ati 9200se > some shitty ati card in the x### range > nvidia 8400gs because the shitty card wasn't compatible with a motherboard > ati 5870 > nvidia gtx 670 > nvidia gtx 660 because the 670 died after a year > amd rx580. next will probably be a 5700xt.

Pretty much all PSUs were shit back then.

Voodoo 2 was the shit back in the day.

Attached: 1522.jpg (1024x559, 296K)

imagine being such an uninteresting loser that you need an add-on graphics card to define your self-worth. lol fucking loser.

...off an EGA card?

Geforce 2 MX 400.
I got it a short while after my friend got the newly released Geforce 3.
Fair to say, owning an RTX2080 is nothing like owning a Geforce 3 was back in the day.

660

Riva TNT 2 32MB

lol no, EGA card was my first aftermarket video card back in the day. after that i had another computer in which i got two 12MB Voodoo 2 cards and SLI them together (that model was the first in video card history to allow SLI'ing)

Slow as molasses, but it did the job.

Hercules Graphics Card
Matrox Millenium I 2 MB
Savage; the lamest model
GPU Intel GMA X3100 Video Adapter
AMD Radeon R5 M330

Ati 3D Rage II+ DVD

VIC-II and OCS

Im pretty sure it was a second hand FX 5200.
Then 550Ti, 960, 1070.

In terms of a discrete graphics card that I purchased with my own money, an ATI Radeon HD 4870. Many different garbage iGPUs prior to that.

GTX 950

7600GS, the first PC I ever personally owned.
Up until that I had been using some VIA integrated nonsense on the shared family PC.
The 7600GS didn't last a year then I spent two years or so on 6100 integrated, followed by a 9400GT then a GT 430, a HD 7750 and now a HD 8570 because I've gone low profile and wanted something super cheap whilst I save up for the GTX 1650.

My imagination.

ATI X300.
Had it overclocked to watch shows in 720p. Till it started to melt the PCB the card was made on...

GT210
GTX650
GTX970

I know I'm a newfag, and only got my first computer to have for myself in 1998.
But damn all these people that didn't get their first computer before 11th of September and .com bubble.

ATI Radeon 9200
upgraded that to a 9550 to play Terraria

Well I had a small lenovo notebook years ago. If that counts yea I had integrated graphics. If not my first GPU would be a GTX 710.

Trident TVGA8900C. It was slow as fuck, friend had Tseng ET4000 and it was so much faster.
Never knew what that top connector was for.

My most recent memory was an 8800gt. I forgot if it was just the GT or the GTS

I don't know! I was about six when the family household got their first computer, we got rid of it when I was ten, and in the meantime I wasn't interested enough to bother finding out what was inside of it. I remember playing a few horridly slow 3D games on it, and it was from around 1995, so maybe it even had separate 2D and 3D accelerators.

Based 3dfx. We should all hang out some time.

I've got a 8900c laying around. Renders Doom at like 5 FPS when paired with a 486 DX2. Its the worst full VGA card I've ever used.
Later paired it with a S3 805 (VESA BUS) and went to like 20 FPS.

Diamond Edge 3D

S3 Via Savage Graphics 64mb

Voodoo 3 3000

I didn't use it for much other than emulation and some old ass games that it could handle perfectly. At some point I tried quake 3 arena and I was impressed.

Integrated SiS 620 from PC Chips motherboard, Celeron 433.

Nvidia MX200, Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Northwood

Ati 9700 vanilla, Athlon x2 2400

Ati HD3850, Phenom X3 555

Current setup is I7 6700, 16gb, AMD RX580.

The absolute state of the "technology" board, lmao.

GeForce FX 5200. I remember overclocking the shit out of it with no regard to temperature as a kid to play GTA San Andreas, lmao poor thing must have been constantly on the verge of catching fire with its shitty passive cooling.

Some Cirrus Logic VLB card, not sure of the model at this point.
But my first big boy accelerated card was a Voodoo 3 2000. Was amazing for 90s games, but was a series drag only 1-2 years later as the TNT2 and Geforce2 blew it the fuck out.

What if I use the integrated graphics because in Linux they are the most supported and open source?
