Child Seat Safety Protocol (CSSP) will be an industry standard message format used to enhance safe usage of automotive child seats.
CSSP will standardize the format of messages exchanged between automotive child seats, the vehicles in which the seats are installed, back-end web services, and smart phone applications.
CSSP will be designed by a committee of automotive engineers, child seat engineers, communication engineers, pediatricians, and safety experts.
Any CSSP-compliant child seat will be able to communicate with any CSSP-compliant automobile.
A CSSP-compliant child seat will use a combination of weight detectors, motion detectors, microphones, video cameras, and artificial intelligence to determine if a child is present in the seat.
The purpose of CSSP-compliant devices is to send out Child In Hot Car Alarms (CIHCAs).
>hey, buy our child seat, it supports a protocol that encourages nosey middle aged bitches to breathe down your neck
Daniel Scott
Fucking botnet
Ian Gonzalez
I’m with this guy. If you’re too stupid to remember your child is in the car and it’s hot outside, you shouldn’t be reproducing in the first place. Let nature take its course.
I'm confused about the function of the pin. Unless your toes are out, surely stepping on it is not enough to pull it out. Why is it there?
Christopher Gomez
Removing the pin arms it.
Camden Edwards
I see.
Michael Russell
Just don’t leave your fucking kids in the car
Lincoln Sullivan
>Let nature take its course. Take its course from what? A child that was forced into a situation he physically cannot do anything about is now "natural selection"? Not sperging about "muh someone thinks about the children" but if some parents are too retarded to care then such fault shouldn't fall back on the child.
Nathaniel Powell
not defending the teenager nihilism presented here but technically it is natural selection

Protecting children is a very strong and primal inclination. "Just think of the children" is probably the most tried and true political strategy in existence.
Gabriel James
Simple pressure sensor in child seat. Pair your phone to it. Phone alerts you if you go out of range bluetooth range of the pressure sensor while it is detecting weight.
I'll take my patent now.

when cesarean section deliveries became possible, many women and children were able to be save from dying during birth. what has happened as a result of this, however, is that statistically more and more women are unable to birth naturally (as this defective trait is able to be passed on). all shit like this does is make us more and more retarded and vulnerable.
Luke Turner
If a parent is stupid enough to kill their kid doing the exact thing shitloads of sources (including but not limited to common sense, PSAs, and every goddamn parenting resource on the planet) tell them not to do, I really don't see why we should put forth any effort into saving their genetic offspring. Adopted kids deserve a fighting chance, sure, but is it really so wrong to let stupid genes weed themselves out?
Angel Mitchell
the same can be said about all medicine, from band-aids to gene therapy
Xavier Carter
>30 children >per year >in a fucking 300 million nation wow, it's fucking nothing
Austin Howard
100+ baby boys die from a needless cosmetic surgery every year, maybe we should focus more on that.
Noah Jones
Gene therapy would make us stronger and smarter though.
Jason Nguyen
if you consider the retardation needed to manifest itself in a person capable of driving and yielding offspring in order for it to happen, it's a lot
Levi Hall
it's technically 30+ children, so really for all we know 300 million children die in hot car seats in the united states alone, per year
Jordan Gomez
this the concept of gene therapy usually refers to inserting genes into somatic cells like hepatocytes, not gonads so it's not like your offspring doesn't inherit the defective genes
Jackson Thompson
>300 million children die in hot car seats in the united states alone, per year $50 says if you tried posting this statistic on Twitter you'd be trending within the hour.
Gavin Kelly
I doubt the kind of parent who leave their children in cars are the kind of parents who would buy such a thing. Unless they plan on giving them for free with the purchase of some crack cocaine.
Kayden Hughes
2 free with every 40oz of malt liquor
Jayden Stewart
30 children is virtually a 0 considering total number of children deaths
there are far more important underfinanced areas where you could save lives, not this bullshit
Oliver Barnes
That's why my idea is much more realistic. A simple pressure sensor and BLE module device could be sold for under $10 and even poorfags have smartphones.
Gavin Morris
this we cant let bad parents run free
Matthew Thomas
>it's not mandatory! >it's only for convicted neglectful parents! >it's only for likely neglectful parents! >you aren't doing anything wrong in your car, so why is it a problem if everyone has it installed? Like fucking clockwork you authoritarian fucking shill
John Thompson
you forgot about grills in africaca that get (((circumsized)))
Zachary Cruz
Retarded wahmenz do tho.
Jackson Brown
What about niggers getting AIDs.
John Peterson
people who leave their kids in cars deserve to lose them and the kids will have to take one for darwinism
Jace Powell
Because it doesn't go to the root of the problem.
You're trying to patch-up the societal and moral failures of a nation through Technology. This is the wrong tool.
The right tool is through the hearts and minds of a nation and by having strong, well known leaders in your community.
This is politics not Technology and CSSP won't solve the problem when the parents in question get a slap on the wrist, get the kid home and start beating them to death.
Jaxon Collins
This would stop accidents though, and these aren’t accidents these are people who are sick of their kids. Proof: funny no one ever leaves kids in the car all day in the winter.
Cameron Nelson
Hackable, annoying, exploitive but even more damning, invasion of privacy. At this rate why even drive? Also, I don't have kids why do I have to pay for this? Oh right, same reason I can't buy a truck with a stick nowadays, cause amerifats can't drive stick. Just like they only know how to raise their kids like the Nazis dealt with the Jews by putting them in an oven.
I have a cheaper solution. Lock them in the car and let them wait for their toddler to come let them out.
Because people in colder weather don't get dehydrated and retarded little niglet. Try it sometime.
Jonathan Barnes
If you cant remember your child you dont deserve your child.
Let em bake.
Connor Russell
It wouldn’t be a bad idea if they hadn’t gone full panopticon on the sensor suite. All you need is a couple of pressure sensors and thermometers (more than one each just for redundancy). The only people who’d buy a seat with a lot of expensive tech probably aren’t the same people leaving their kids in the car, so this is likely just some Jews looking for a quick buck from paranoid soccer moms while they gather and sell all the data the damn thing is collecting.
William Perez
Not being a complete irresponsible retard is feasible tech as well
Samuel Reyes
>car detects baby/child in car >activated air conditioning Wow this was hard. No botnet or data transmission needed
Thomas Cooper
Stop trying to save the children of idiots. We don't want these people in our gene pool.
Anthony Sanders
For wat (You) need so many children, retard? Childs love only alpha fuckers in goverment
Jaxson Murphy
The pressure sensor + alarm idea has been proposed since the 90's but no car manufacturer wanted to install it because it adds additional costs just to cover a rare accident. This new IoT design presumably covers the extra cost by allowing them to harvest data that can be sold or used.
Blake Cox
Yeah but that kids parents have passed the genes of shitty, negligent niggerdom on to the child. If the child dies it's the same result as the stupid parents dying.
Owen Smith
No training wheels for retards. You let your kid die, you go to jail. Coddling is what made adults complacent enough to forget their own offspring.
Landon Wood
>A child that was forced into a situation he physically cannot do anything about is now "natural selection"? yes, are you retarded? their children dying because of their stupidity has the exact same effect on the gene pool as them dying and not being able to make children
Ryder Watson
>Via BLE

Are these level 1 responders expected to just walk around with bluetooth active and connecting to every device within 100m?! What the fuck is this? Who designed this?
That makes too much sense, user. The more reasonable idea to to fucking smash their windows or car doors open instead.
Brody Collins
>Are these level 1 responders expected to just walk around with bluetooth active and connecting to every device within 100m?!
Good question.
No, the phone running the CSSP App does not pair with the child seat. It just sees the BLE advertisement message from the child seat and uses that alone to activate the alert.
Jayden Rodriguez
Also, the Level 1 volunteers are not "responders". They just turn on the app when they are out running errands or whatever.
Jose Peterson

so how about simpler solution like: dog/annoying-shit mode where: -you activate it by button or infotainment/phone -remove key/leave car -car still runs at idle (or from battery if you have prius or tesla) just to support ac -throttle pedal gets deactivated temporaly -car locks doors -car engages parking brake -car sets ac to lets say 70-73F -optional car detects co2 level inside -you come back -car unlocks it self -you deactivate "annoying-shit mode" assuming you've paired your phone, have proximity fob or set 8-digit pin -everyone is happy. your little-shit because it sits in air conditioned can. you, because nobody broke your window. car manufacturers because it's dirt-chip to implement (assuming you have automatic ac, electronic parking brake or just plain automatic transmission)
it would be way fucking easier than supporting whole privacy-invading architecture infrastructure
Isaac Fisher
>changing laws and waste millions on expenses on 30 meagre kids >the kids are prob genetically deadweight too Bluepilled

>technically it is natural selection Only if forgetting ones children is selected for, very unlikely.
Luis Phillips
>30+ children Oh what a world. I bet more children choke to death on their own saliva every year.
Tyler Russell
Are you retarded? You can say the same about swimming pools and power sockets. Parents not caring for their offspring has always been a selection factor.
Wyatt Edwards
I think it would be more efficient to develop some sort of kit that adresses everything from practical to tactical to legal issues.
If someone was slowly strangling a child you don't need any permission from anyone to save the child using force.
HOWEVER! that means that you can't disregard the tactics (what if the strangler has an accomplice standing point guard) or the law (braining the strangler may be too much).
Jaxon Rodriguez
Too bad for the children but they're just the result of their parents being naturally selected
Camden Perez
Why should a child suffer because the husband of its mother is 'tard?
>swimming pools It is an underrated hazard. I'd rather have children play unattended in an old melee weapons arsenal than unattended by a pool.
>power sockets We've got both "tamper proof" sockets and socket plugs.
