Poverty is not okay. Just get a job. You could start with McDonald's, for example.

>for the 9900k to match the 3800x in performance it need a 3rd party cooler capable of at least 200W TDP
>the 3900x absolutely wrecks the 9900k
Intel Corporation only tells lies, to try and fool its investors. Smart investors have already moved on from that company that will soon be just a shell of what it once was (intellectual property _will_ be the sole source of income).

r/AMD says otherwise

They're talking about gaming btw.

So we need to open patents for everyone.

>highest performing* (by 1.02x and twice as much tdp)
>*could vary based on security patches

scientific computing project manager here.

we're seeing rome per-package performance nearly triple current xeon offerings on common codes like c2pk, diamond, and vasp.

I never thought I'd see AMD be a contender again.

Nice
Buy AMD, don't let the Intel sales guy use dirty tricks. A market benefits everyone as long as competitive products are rewarded. If we end up with a monopoly again in the hpc market everyone will pay way more.
I'm really worried the OEMs will fall for the short term bribes and we will end up like 2014

All the punk motherfuckers who got clowned by AMD are either throwing away their Ryzens or desperately trying to find someone who's fucked up enough in the head to give them 50 dollars for it on ebay so that they can buy an Intel. Talk about price/performance ratio.

What are you smoking
The 3900x (top Ryzen sku) is still sold out over a month after launch
microcenter.com/category/4294966995,4294819840/amd-processors

Ignore him, post-purchase rationalization and all that. Probably dysfunctional family too.

Sounds like you got clowned bro. The first step towards not being a punk motherfucker is to admit that you got clowned.

oh no amdbros, looks like overvolting 7nm wasn't a good idea after all...

at least we have misleading launch reviews for marketing now right?

The top safe temperature for the 3xxx series Zen2 chips is now 80C apparently.

>rome per-package
N i c e

This. I bought a 2700 and am now heavily considering selling it to some local retards to buy a 9700k.

Y

Me too. Maybe I'll sprig for the 9900K. I might have to get another payday loan but it'll be worth it.

BUUUTTTT we need to set your house on fire to use it ANNNDDDD it has botnet up the ass because we're not negotiating on that point either...

DELET THIS

As long as relevant customers believe, it's fine. Relevant customers being Lelnovo, Dell, HP etc

>>the 3900x absolutely wrecks the 9900k
you don't actually believe this, do you?

ORLY

>amdmark = performance
lmao

Seems accurate to me, Intel's multi-core performance is pretty bad, even when matched core to core with AMD.

$700 CPU wrecks $5000 CPU
this is a holocaust

People would readily buy an Intel processor if it matches AMD's features and prices. Why do Intel shills find that so hard to understand?

How so?

they do match those though
>inb4 meme shit like pcie4

Attached: priceperformance.png (2522x2224, 1.38M)

Come on, son. Most of the punk motherfuckers who bought Poozen are admitting that they got clowned. Why do you persist? You get nothing out of this.

9600K doesn't come with a cooler, add another $20-40

>blatant intel shill benchmark sites
>buying x570 when x470/b450 exists

Enjoy your 4 GHz boost speed on one core m8

it's back in stock now, I have one coming this week.

More heat means lower clocks in practice, even if each core can theoretically do 5GHz

>Intel Corporation only tells lies
Wow, the same company who has been doing it since the 90's? NO WAY!
Seriously, is this still news to people? We have conformation of several bad practices that Intel has used since the 90's, yet people act like each new one is the first.

before 3000 series cs go was the flagship game
after 3000 came and buttfucked intel suddenly the flagship became far cry new dawn

Is intel ever getting off 10nm? BTFO!

>rabbit season
>duck season
When will a new competitor shake things up.

>*but we still have the most vulnerable and power hungry CPUs
ftfy

Attached: linustechtips.png (2000x1543, 87K)

>Intel:
>Number of patched vulnerabilities: 21+

>AMD:
>Number of patched vulnerabilities: 1

Get your ass in gear AMD

>intel
>patched vulnerabilities
we're talking about hardware vulnerabilities, dummy, you can't just patch them at software level and think you're safe now
while zen+ fixed some vulnerabilities at hardware level, zen2 fixed remaining. at. hardware. level.
intel just deployed some software workarounds no one wants to use because of performance hit

I just bought into 3900x and x570. I might be starting to regret it. Please tell me it'll be ok

Attached: feelsbad.png (412x351, 74K)

Yeah, I managed to grab one luckily after 3 weeks of trying.

Unless you exclusively play Ubishit games at 720p you're fine.

>people who bought Intel CPUs have had their performance dropped to half due to security mitigations
>but it's the people who bought AMD that got tricked
Nice try

Attached: 1521150682426.png (600x600, 400K)

New policy disallows benching w/o patches

>>*could vary based on security patches
Please stop mentioning the security pat**es, the scars haven't healed yet

Imagine having to spend a grand on a outdated and rebranded cpu and still claiming its better then AMD

>but we still have the highest performing CPU's?
where? Didn't EPCY just recently completely annalihated everything Intel has to offer and is the worlds fasted as highest performing x86 CPU?

>punk motherfuckers
you again

Attached: 19347586723466.jpg (636x773, 32K)

sure, if u want to run one program at a time

This is pure delusion. Intel only aces in the hole is AVX512 support which is only meaningful on their Skylake-X/Cascade Lake SKUs under HPC workloads and having nearly-ubiquitous iGPUs on desktop/laptop platforms (OEMs love it)

Outside of that, Intel is fighting an uphill battle. 9900K became hot, expensive joke-tier as soon as R9 3900 and R7 3700 launch like most of its Skylake HCC/XCC line-up.

The only Intel performance desktop CPUs to even worth considering at their price points are 9700K and 9400K. Everything else is overpriced and/or underwhelming.

>ITT: /v/tards that still fail to grasp how much Intel relied on its foundry advantage which no longer exists now and may never return

>Imagine using more energy while costing more and being a few percent faster if at all
At least AMD FX was cheap while being worse and using 50 percent more power, Intel's latest offering are pathetic.

They are in a worse position than AMD was with the original Bulldozer 81XX chips before they got more efficient in 2012.

If I had 50 IQ, i'd take the bait.

AVX-512 doesn't even matter when Rome can just outbruteforce it with AVX2 while taking less power.

A single mid-range EPYC matches dual housefire top of the line Xeon.

People who bought AMD had performance halved from the start

>Cope

>why yes, I am a punk motherfucker who got clowned, how can you tell?

Why are all the Intel processors on sale?

It's not so much that AMD closed the gap, it's the realisation that Intel has nothing to open another and that the first reason there was a gap was that they played fast and loose on security and they still haven't done anything to fix those holes.

>sale
>sale
>sale

Hmmm, almost as if Intel is reacting and taking on losses in response to AMD putting out a great CPU. Really makes you think...
