I worked at a place that had convinced themselves that they needed windows 7. They bought pirated eBay licenses to make themselves feel better, and hired about four completely useless people to maintain the bloated spaghetti code which relied on it.
OP, there is literally no reason to ever use Windows 7.

Use Windows 8.1 and if you don't want to use Metro, use Classic Shell or pirate Start8. Better than Bugdows 10.
