Not falling for that meme ever again, I'm doing a mini itx caselet build

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO

Just connected it to my 4k 144hz monitor. No problem man

>what's all that cum on the trackpad lmao

That's what they call "dbrand skin"

>why it's Razer Blade pro 17

But it's not. Blades do look fine and have good specs but Razer has shit tier quality controls, laptops are being shipped out to customers with non working displays, wifi cards that fail on day one, power bricks that go up in flames etc. I considered buying one but 360°d away.

Mine has everything working well, only slight complaint is small light bleed, but it's really minor. Temps on CPU never exceed 70 even in full load and GPU is steady 72. Max fans enabled they never to above 50

I picked an Aero 15 instead, repasted and undervolted because i want it to last a long time. I could not afford to play the Razer lottery.

The keyboard looks pretty cheap

Thoughts on msi laptops? Considering getting one for keyboard that looks not totally shit and supposedly better cooling then Asus and Acer garbage.

Aeros are the best. Any other """"gaymen"""" laptop is shit.

it makes you undetectable in stealth games

Stopped buying gaming laptops after I realized after I would spend $1500 on a new laptop all I would do is use it for porn, EU4 and old school runescape.

what are you hiding there ryptahi?

what did you get instead?

he's a redditor too

Good to know, sadly I am closer to 30 than 20

xD

So you are too much of a faggot to create on single thread?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH faggot

Didn't know poor people come here so often

Low test reply.
Most people don't fall for the overpriced gaming laptop meme.

Link me your build senpai, I'm interested

I fell for the gaming laptop meme 6 years ago with a y510p. I have a 2500k, RX580, 8gb RAM desktop and I'm building a new one, currently picking parts

epic doxx

Nice
How's the mobo? I was looking into that one but I'm trying to avoid RGB

How do you do that?

I tried image research engines, and I didn't find his Reddit account.

He left his spotify name uncensored.

Oh, thanks, I didn't notice that part of the image.

That will teach you not to use unique usernames on your services. You want to use a name as generic as possible and also use different usernames in different services. Remember the SilkRoad guy fell because he used the same email in a forum and his YouTube account. Username is even easier to find than email.

>tfw shilled y510p to multiple people
desu, it was one of the first gaming laptops that actually had decent perf per dollar

Attached: 1547126016284.png (820x730, 251K)

It was great value indeed. And I'm still stuck with it because I won't buy another laptop, I'll put a chink SSD in there so it boots faster

Attached: 3shBVGE.jpg (796x827, 150K)

Shit built quality. had to replace power port twice and its semi fucked again after only a year.

Hey anons, I"ll be buying a laptop for music production and some video editing in the near future. I used to be a macfag but I got priced out and saw the light of how good windows laptops are now. I've been thinking of getting a used Razer Blade / Stealth, as they seem to have a good value for price / performance / aesthetics. If I get one how fucked am I, bros?

>wangblows for music production

Enjoy your crashing and your fruity loops

Gayming on a laptop.
Why would anyone cough one up, make PC is better argument (than consoles) and not see the irony and hypocrisy.

What should I send to someone as specs if I want a powerful laptop? I play games but not as much as before and plan to also work with it. Should I get a gaming laptop or some other laptop? If yes, what are the best ones right now? Which are not to heavy.

I did that for 15 years, nig nog.
1- I hate logic. I was an apple certified trainer, and I don't like it. Not my DAW of choice, so irrelevant to my decision
2- Enjoy your thermal issues as your machine gets older
3- Enjoy your inability to upgrade HD size or RAM
4- Enjoy spending 7K for a decently spec'd laptop

I've been using Windoze 10 as my daily driver for a couple of months now, and it's actually pretty comfy. I do still prefer OSX, but not by much

>buying new brand new apple products
Being an apple fag doesn’t mean you have to be retarded as well user

If you buy used you get significantly fewer years of use before your motherboard overheats

What defective shit are you buying?

I fell for the gaming laptop meme and I suffered for 3 years on that piece of shit. Everything I did on it when out and about could have been accomplished by a shitty dual core netbook or even chromebook honestly, and when it sat on my desk all I could think was how much better it would be if I had a proper speced tower and desk setup.

>not researching common issues with a machine before you spend too much money on it

>Considering getting one for keyboard that looks not totally shit
We're supposed to buy a laptop based on how the keyboard looks and not how it performs now?
LEL

Attached: Feitan smug.png (1280x720, 695K)

240 is nothing. my TV runs at 700
try again, sweaty

That's fake

Look for something with a 1070 or even 1650 for under a grand. Make sure it is thicc and has good cooling and anything else is wasted money.

>he fell for the high refresh rate tv meme
oh nononononononono

Attached: 061.jpg (150x150, 3K)

...

I guess it was hard to guess that I meant the keyboard looks like it's not totally shit. Not literally the way it looks.

You are kinda where I'm right now. I've been checking out Razer Blade too. But I came in to conclusion to stick with ThinkPads as Razer laptops are pretty new on market. We really don't have any idea how they hold up against ageing. Secondly that fucking logo makes my skin crawl.

>I meant the keyboard looks like it's not totally shit
Not:
>I meant the keyboard I tried doesn't feel like total shit
Or:
>I meant that according to [Youtuber], the keyboard doesn't work like total shit.
>Implying you can look at MBP keyboard and tell it's shit

Attached: Feitan.png (1280x720, 1.01M)

Point taken. Why are you avatarfagging though?

>performs 30% better at best than other gaming laptops but costs 200+% more

I would buy it for an OLED model but otherwise it's a waste of money. the sweet spot is $1-1.5K.

it's not fake, it just refers to the sub-field drive, which is why plasma has generally better motion clarity even at lower hrz.

>shoddy keyboard mechanism
>chassis which can't properly cool internals unless you get to a dB level that's unbearable
>cost-to-performance is ludicrous beyond comprehension
>battery life is subpar even compared to similarly sized/specc'd machines
>bigass trackpad despite that windows 10 is still not optimised for primary mouse navigation

you're paying a tax on the brand, which i suppose is fine if you enjoy how it looks, but if you don't particularly, you've just burned through 400 $ of your paycheck that you could have spent actually buying something worthwhile

OK so what is the gaming laptop meme exactly? Ive heard people whine before but what exactly is the problem? I get that its really expensive for what you are getting and how it performs but are there are other issues? I would guess if a person games often that they maybe do not last more than a few years due to over heating but that is just a guess.

>$10 says you couldn't tell them apart in a blind test
I have a 144hz hooked up to my 250hz laptop, you can tell the difference at a glance. Just isn't as big of a jump as 60 to 144

it's just a meme, there's no problem. it's not even expensive for what you're getting. you can pick up a gaming laptop new for 700 $ usd with a 1650 that otuscales the 1050ti and a 144hz display, an i5 processor, and decent battery life, which is more than enough to fulfill most people's gaming needs, unless you have an undying desire to play the latest AAA titles at high or ultra, while still maintaining 144 fps.

>Global Rule #2 - You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.

>Mine has everything working well
mine too :)
I mean my second one actually.
My replacement works well.
The first one I got, the display fell out of the laptop.
Buy your razors locally, kids.

Why are you still posting then?

ASUS tuf gaming fx705gm

The best gaming laptop is nothing.
Got better things to do than play games when I leave my home.

I would take that bet. I can tell the difference if I reduce the refresh rate on mine. It shows much more clearly in panning scenes.

I'm sure a blind person couldn't tell the difference between a 60hz and a 240hz neither

is that touchpad for real niqqa?

What's with this fear of reddit? You guys got bullied by some big dicks on reddit? Got your application for an account rejected? Too mentally ill to join?

Keyboards is fine really, temps are actually really good like I already said on other post, GPU max 72 and CPU max 75.

Trackpad is something I barely use but it's pretty good. Battery life is shit, that one I admit. I went for razer because of build quality.
Yes it is
Sadly the oled is only available on 15 inch one, but 17 inch model had far superior cooling which is more important in my opinion
Black dbrand skin on top can hide the logo. Problem solved.
I actually agree, but I will be moving abroad for few years so that is not really an option.

Is the quality and support decent?

I owned lenovo legion for the past several years - I was being prompted to update the bios, but I checked and it seems lenovo fucked the bios update that it bricks laptops with black screens until you downgrade it back or something.

>that fucking speaker placement
couldn't they put them higher horizontally and fit a full layout keyboard?

So far quality has been better than anything else I tried. Of course price is also higher. Bios update was almost too simple, with only one exe file

Like I said fake it's i no sape or form capable of displaying 700 different picture's in 1 second

So you bought one?

gaming laptop? what the fuck for, the sims?

Jow Forums is not what it used to be anymore

Bump

I got the gf63 1650max q i7-9750
Don't game at all besides old school games, mostly bought cuz processor and it was cheap

But I’m shallow and aesthetics matter to me and thinkpads look like shit IMO. Besides, I can’t deal with my laptop having a giant red clitoris. I’d rather deal with the Razer logo, which can be covered up

The main advantage with the Razer imo is that it's thinner, smaller, and sleeker than most comparable laptops. I think that despite the gamer branding it's much better to look at it as a MacBook Pro alternative for people who do "creative" jobs that need relatively powerful computers but who want or need to be on Windows for whatever reason. Aside from the physical size, it also makes you look like a lot less of a wanker in the office than a typical gaming laptop would. I know an architect who uses one for CAD and is quite happy with it.

Nice spotify profile bro

Ok Jow Forums bro. I hear ya. So what do you recommend for $600-$800 (2016 or newer is ok) that is:
-aesthetically appealing
-quad i7
-minimum 16gb RAM
-decent graphics card
-eGPU compatible

And can generally handle mid to large size creative tasks while remaining portable. Like I said, I’m a migrating macfag and admittedly under-knowledgeable about the PC world. Help a guy out here, what do you got that’s better? Everything I’ve seen says Razers are a good value for the money used. I’ve also considered XPS15s, but I hear they have latency issues for audio, which is a no go for me. What do ya got besides a clunky Lenovo with a giant clit in the middle of the keyboard?

You're a fucking retard if you want to get a laptop with those specs for that price

Newfag pls, at least try to blend in.

I wish we could genocide reddit out of Jow Forums
