There's nothing wrong with Electron.
The UI can't be causing all that bloat.

it's literally a browser
show me an electron app without a 100 MB+ memory footprint

Imagine willingly using an operating system that forces you to use something like Etcher or Rufus to do something as trivial as image a disk.

You need those if you want to pass from Windows to Linux.

sounds crazy man

It can, and most definitely fucking is.

Shut the fuck up C boomer sperg.

What you don't have an ODD? I bet you use Netflix and Spotify too you fucking cuck.

Enjoy your NEETbux and hobbyist operating system.

Why are you so upset?
Did you write Etcher?

>Make project that just werks and is comfy and simple
>It gets popular
>Rebrand and fill it with trash and ads, completely negating the reason why people used it in the first place
Why do people do this?

The same reason retards shill their Soundcloud once their tweet gets 10k likes. Money.

It's not as simple as dd if of.

Dev decided to write a dd UI in a web browser (if this seems retarded - it is) and then to ship the whole web browser so his dd UI works. I suggest you use something like Rufus, Win32DiskImager or basic dd on Linux.

It literally hooks a web browser render engine. It makes qt ui's seem like machine code.

How do those people make money off of SoundCloud anyways? Is the content monetized with ads on there? I never know because I always have uBlock/uMatrix turned on.

You cant even use windows iso

"Make me famous and buy / stream my shit", basically. SC plays don't gain you anything beyond recognition.

>dd

It's horrible and not needed for 99,9% of cases it's being used for by idiots. Simple cp accomplishes the same, including your image writing.

etcher is dogshit anyway, rufus never disappointed me

rufus being windows only is a shame; it's the best flashing utility. etcher is fucking shit

>"rUFus NeVER DISapPoinTEd mE"
Disappointed you HOW? Look, I get that it's unnecessary Electron bloat, but if you can't handle dragging and dropping an ISO and selecting a flash drive then there's something wrong with you.

it being electron bloat should be enough. electron is disgusting. also you occasionally get isos etcher won't flash correctly; but rufus does.

>also you occasionally get isos etcher won't flash correctly; but rufus does.
like what

yes; i keep a database of isos that don't work properly with etcher. it's not a common thing, and i just go to a computer with rufus when it occurs.

>like what
>yes

Electron is 99.9% c/c++, retard

>yes; i keep a database of isos that don't work properly with etcher.
just might h𝘢ve been s𝘢rc𝘢sm

More like ballena etcher lmao

Can't seek, skip or set a meaningful blocksize in cp, you double cunt.

>There's nothing wrong with Electron.
Literally everything is wrong with Electron.
It's causing ALL of the bloat. It's fucking wrapping around a DD function, there's no reason it can't be as slim as Rufus other than the dev is a lazy fuck who decided he needed to use a web browser for his UI.

>here's a list of things you don't need to do to copy an image to a block device, and that's why you should use a program that can do those things

Were you dropped as a child as has your brain always been that smooth?

>vm with usb passthrough

Why install a whole OS with Linux instead of just using Rufus?
Are you a moron?

>electron garbage
>shows you ads while you wait for dd to be done

Electron required mainly for the ads.

> Electron app.

>cant even create images from media
Why would you get an application that can only do half the job?

>dd, 77KB

No you don't. dd for windows exists.
chrysocome.net/dd

>rufus uses default windows application appearance
>balena etcher has it's own interface
>somehow it's a surprise that balena etcher is bigger
lmao wtf are you on about you monkey

>does the same
>is 100 times bigger
retard

osforensics.com/tools/write-usb-images.html
even that is more bloated that it needs to be

So? I just explained why it might be bigger and your epic rebuttal to my argument was to say that it's function is the same. Yeah, it is, who the fuck cares? Not relevant.
>100 times bigger
actually it's like 40 MB larger, not even twice as large you nigger faggot. Either learn to do basic reading or kill yourself.

see

is this what loonix does to people? makes them retards.

>just might h𝘢ve been s𝘢rc𝘢sm
that's wonderful, it still doesn't answer the question

you sound like such a whiny bitch

come back when you have an argument

it does; when i say 'yes; i keep a database of isos that don't work properly with etcher.'; I'm saying i don't fucking pay attention to everything that works and doesn't. if it doesn't work i just move to a computer that has etcher and flash it

VS Code

Attached: vscode.png (454x17, 7K)

my fucking win7 PE iso. etcher fucks it royally. rufus works and fucking dd works, but not etcher, complete bloatware.

is that on idle?
try doing any serious work there and post the screenshot again dumb dumb

qts not that bad on performance is it?
