I think this is a scam, because they're tracking 40 issues that are pie in the sky existential crises for the actual GIMP project, there's like 5 contributors total, and I found multiple merged pull requests that are just deleting and restoring random media files and dozens that don't do anything but change "GIMP" to "Glimpse" even though you could do that in 30s with a sed/awk script.
for example this one removes themes, then re-adds them and it got merged to up the commit count.
