Literally just install grub after windows and it just werks.

If anything, your time will be broken since Lunix and Windowze fuck up each other's time, and your hibernation will be fucked every time you reboot.

But bootloader? Hell, grub is a masterpiece. Bloated as fuck, yes, but it handles everything so well. Not like it stays in the system after boot, so who cares if it's a couple megabytes larger than systemd's bootloader.

Windows makes itself unseen to GRUB to prevent dual-booting.
You have to go into BIOS every single time.

Or disable fast boot and hibernate in windows and disable windows entry in bios if that option is available - it will stop windows from overwriting your boot order settings and you can still start windows from the grub menu.

I haven’t been in BIOs in years, what are you talking about? Dual boot works fine, I set it up the first time almost 20 years ago it’s not that hard.

Is this why i had to delete the grub partition when I went back to Windows? No matter what I did in BIOS the Windows boot media would not be recognized and it would go straight into Ubuntu.

Windows is pretty good at telling UEFI (in a persistent way) what the boot device is.
That's fine if GRUB and Windows are on the same drive - but if they're not, God help you.
