Was ~180lb/81kg about a month ago. Down 10lb. I want to lose my stomach fat and get ripped. Should I lift weights and build my pecs and arms and leg muscles and do cardio at the same time? I've been trying to lose weight, originally I wanted to just lose 10lbs, but I gained 15lbs instead. My sloth is definitely to blame but I really need to see a sleep specialist. The levels of exhaustion I experience daily are definitely not normal. 25 is still an extremely doable goal though.

Intermittent fasting is a good one - combine it with exercise and your body cannot fail but lose weight. I've done 24 hour IF combined with a 15 mile walk. Wait until the weather gets colder - don't want to end up with an electrolyte deficiency or something.

Or, even if you cannot manage IF - always try to exercise on an empty stomach. Once your body gets through glycogen reserves you are burning fat.

if you do intermittent fasting but keep replenishing the glycogen reserves through carb consumption, you may fire off hormones to signal your body to store fat and burn whatever else because scarcity season is here.
It depends on how much you exercise, the quality of your carbs and your previous lifestyle before dieting (how sensitive you are to the chemistry involved)
The lazy approach lately is to do carb restriction and hope for the best.

Not eating is stupid. Eat fat and protein rich foods that are low on carbs and sugar, at the same time do slight workout and walk/run a little. Literally food and 15 minutes of activities a day will make all the difference. You'll bump up muscle while burning fat.
Remember that eating fat makes your body prefer using fat as energy instead of sugar, that includes body fat while protein helps to grow muscle. The body will never, ever eat it's own muscle before it's own fat, only after you're out of body fat you'll burn muscle.

I try to walk 5 miles every other day. At a pace of about 11 minutes a mile. I was a lazy fuckass for the last 7 years. Good to know about the carbs, I was eating single servings of elbow pasta and rice. What can I replace that with? I figure I could swap out my diet of pasta/rice twice a day with two pieces of flax bread (better carbs?) and can of tuna, and an egg every day or something. I really dunno. Basically my strategy so far was eat under 900 calories every day and exercise as much as I can. But a lot of my calories have been from carbs. Ps. I’m 5”11, and 28 years old. End goal is to get ripped. But I just wanna lose my stomach fat first, my gut is so big. Feels bad

Here's how to cheat:
Cut carbs to under 30g a day (get a carb tracker app or sheet, but it should be easy unless you don't know what carbs are), eat fatter beefs, poultry, dairy, etc and greens you enjoy (dairy is optional)
Forget the Calories In part of CICO and just focus on exercise, preferably after fasting, so your body is ready to use all the benefits of low carb meals
Rinse, repeat. Don't eat after 8pm and skip breakfast for IF, skip lunch for one meal a day and eventually begin to do multi-day fasts if you feel like.
