All of you are productive in life or work?
How can you avoid procrastination ?

I hydrate myself
When I don't drink water I seem to lose focus and motivation
When I'm drinking water every 15 minutes I seem to work on the task at hand

Autism.

My ability to dedicate an inhuman amount of attention to any repetitive task and to do so for hours no matter how rewarding it is, is the only reason why im productive.

I fap three times per day.

install fedora and use your computer like a real man

Programmer / $90k/yr. I have a weird issue. Some weeks I'll do NOTHING at work and some weeks I'll work 16 hour days.

>Some weeks I'll do NOTHING at work and some weeks I'll work 16 hour days.
Same. Not sure about you but I realized I work better under pressure.

George is such a troll killing off his characters what if he is trolling the whole planet by just not finishing the book.

By the way did you know he write the book in dos?

>Not sure about you but I realized I work better under pressure.
unless it's too much then I'll go back to nothing and dpression

The trick is to let the pressure rise a little so you can get work done but not too much to overwhelm. It's a fine balance.

Yeah that sounds right, however when the pressure becomes too much it gets worse every time I hit that point

When presented like this, autism really do sound appealing..

I was the only person at my fabrication job that enjoyed threading rods. I could happily spend a month sitting at the rod threader feeding it new rod stock.

>have work and classes
>keep getting distracted with the thought of personal projects I want to do

>finally have free time
>don't want to do anything
Why the fuck does this happen to me? It seems like I only want to do something when I have other things I need to do, then I blow all my free time doing nothing or just sleeping, is my brain broken?

I always do the same when sitting in classes or whatever
>this is boring, once I'm home I will continue my projects and be productive and social person!

I get up at 7am and finish everything that needs to be done by noon. Rest of the day is free to do whatever I want.

Don't you have to work?

7am - Shower, eat breakfast
8am - Go downstairs to my grow rooms. Check lighting controllers to make sure their time schedule is set correctly. Check and log temperature and humidity readings. Take and log soil moisture readings. Check and log water reservoir temperature. Check each pot is being fed and that no clogs or leaks have developed in the feed system. Check plants individually for pests and mold. Defoliate any plants growing too thick with foliage. Sweep up any fallen leaves or debris. Complete any other tasks required on a weekly basis like applying a foliar spray or emptying and scrubbing the nutrient mixture reservoir or mixing a new reservoir of nutrients.
10am - Answer any emails from clients I’ve received and make any necessary phone calls.
11am - Vacuum, dust, dishes, collect trash, go to the crockery store, mow the lawn or whatever else needs to be done around the house.
12pm - Whatever I want. I’m done for the day unless something pops up.

Life is easy if you don’t make it hard.

You got it all wrong. Procrastinating is the most noble virtue of any free individual

Productivity is for slaves and debtors

>took the week off from work to work on my project
>I wasted the majority of that not doing anything
>wish I took the whole month off instead but I know I'd waste that whole month too
I think years of being addicted to porn has fucked over my brain so that while I feel like I want to do something, I'm not actually motivated to do it.

More like you’re so used to being told what to do by someone else that you don’t know how to do anything on your own anymore.

I get yelled at if they find me doing nothing

I have dyspraxia, so no, not really.
Once I start something i'm fine though, so I just have to force myself to start (which gets easier the more you do it).

>not ANYTHING ELSE

Industriousness is heritable. If you are procrastinating it is a genetic problem.

he was right, there is no work
your business is almost self sustaining.

I wish you'd sit and thread my rod for months if you know what I'm saying. Also you could fuck me in the ass.

>your business is almost self sustaining.
While highly automated it is no where near self sustaining. There’s a reason those checks are done on a daily basis. If something was off and it went unnoticed it could be disastrous. A leak could flood the room causing the humidity to spike and mold to appear destroying an entire crop. If there’s a clog a plant won’t get fed and die costing at least a thousand dollars. If there was a power outage overnight or while I was out of the house the timers on the light controllers would be incorrect and could seriously stress out the plants. The low amount of daily work is offset by the few times a month I need to put in some very long and uncomfortable hours in a room that sits at 75% humidity and 83 degrees. There’s also the tradeoff of not having a guaranteed paycheck at the end of every month. I get paid every two months and if shit hits the fan I might go four months without any income. I have to be very disciplined to not slack off and let things slide because there’s no one to make sure I’m on top of everything.

Some shit you just have to do, so you do it. I need to do my job if I expect to be paid and to get raises, so I do it. I also tend to finish personal projects which are useful to me - obviously because I'm making things which I will later use.

At work money motivates me. For personal projects there's the one commit a day rule.
