I know it's seems absurd. I used 2000dpi on a 21'' screen 1080 for years. Now I use 800 dpi on a 27'' 1440p monitor.

Depends on what I'm doing. I switch dpi to lower when more precision is needed. When browsing I crank to highest dpi, 2400 I believe

No, it's vice versa. Higher DPI with slower speed in software give more precision. You read more "dots" for the same amount of movement, the movement distance on the screen is just reduced. Of course you should have high polling rate too.

Pros play with only 400-800. I honestly prefer 1200 for desktop and 800 for most games. When I got into hidpi mice I tried using higher settings but it just made having to configure every new game a pain in the ass.
