format the hard drive, if it's illegal in your country have it do 10 passes just in case and then destroy your HDD with a hammer. If you're super paranoid, gather up the destroyed bits, split them into 2 piles, throw one away in a public dumpster and for the other pile, go across town and throw that away in a dumpster as well
