thanks for the link
i set it to 50% OP just in case
heres another benchmark with the samsung performance settings turned on
>860
>not 970
i would if my 7 year old motherboard supported it
i dont feel like buying a new cpu, mb, ram just to upgrade to a ssd when i can just get a sata one
>what is adding NVMe support in old motherboards
pcie bruh
the bios doesnt support NVME booting
whats the point?
and there is some sort of beta bios for my board that supports booting but it prevents you from booting into bios and doesnt support UEFI
it doesnt seem worth the headache for me
i just needed a fast boot drive
just put /boot on a sata drive
How the fuck do I do a speed test with that shit?
click on the box that says "All" next to the drop downs and above the Seq box
I have literally no idea what the fuck is this
Please don't tell me I HAVE to download the weeb edition to have this?
the pretty anime girl or the benchmark? because you can definitely do the benchmark on the normal version
I just went through every single setting in the normal edition for 10 minutes and there is nothing
did you download crystaldiskinfo or crystaldiskmark?
Why am I fucking retarded, WHY?
its ok i did the same thing before starting this thread, its not immediately obvious that the benchmark is a separate program
who is this shizuku slut?
Fuck
Is there a way to tell if the nvme drive is connected through the chipset or to the CPU?
Speed
Yes. What CPU and mobo do you have?
In my defense I only paid 73 for this drive
My new Corsair Force MP600
I wanted to get a PCIe 4.0 SSD as well, but ultimately I chose to get double the capacity for nearly the same money. I won't have any use for the extra speed over a 3.0 drive anyway.
Take your UEFI .bin file, place the nvme DXE file in there and flash. It's really easy.
Shizuku is a slut
Samsung 970 EVO 2TB. Was fastest drive around if I recall when I bought it.
850 trough samba
Kingston 240GB A400 2.5" SATA I scored for $25 on sale. You get what you pay for I guess.
Zen 2?
kawaiiii
I have the same SSD as OP but mine's slower.
