Food is technology

Do you think we will all be eating fake food like Söilent in the future? What do you think of these artificial "meals"?

>inb4 söi

As far as I know, this shit does not have any söi. The name was inspired by a movie.

>Food is technology
no, it isn't

it's got bean juice in it.

I literally just ate general toes tofu tonight

I am a real onyons boi ama

Have your breasts got bigger?

It's only got one boring texture so no.

I like using them when I'm hiking; the dry powder version helps minimize weight on longer trips, or the pre-mixed bottles are useful for quick day trips.

Cheap, low glycemic index, and high in protein. Any worries about estrogen analogs from the bean-extract can be overcome through heavy exertion, which is when I use it.

>Any worries about estrogen analogs from the bean-extract can be overcome through heavy exertion, which is when I use it.
sounds like onions broscience

I personally think stuff like in your pic isn't a horrible idea. If they could make a drink that has a strict number of calories but also provides adequate protein, vitamins, etc, I'd buy it if only for the efficiency of it. No more worrying about what you're going to eat, going to the store to get the ingredients, spend time cooking it, etc. Just easy to grab and go drinks that give you what's required to continue functioning.

I of course would still want a hot meal hear and there so It's not like I would want food as we know it to disappear.

>drinking or eating ultra-processed man-made shit
Nah, I'm good with my fruits, vegetables, and meats

fpbp

Let's talk about real technology. The kitchen of the future.

I've already been consuming 90% liquid meal replacement like Söylent for the last year or so, but I drink Huel instead of Söylent because it sources its protein from peas, rice, and oats instead of söy

>Huel
How is it? Can I live purely on the stuff for weight loss?

>rice

Enjoy looking out for Wilford Brimley stalking you in the night. You would be better off with the "bean that shall not be named".

Ss-onions-yY Bb-boy-yY

>How is it?
It tastes worse and has a much grittier texture than söylent, but the ingredients seem to be higher quality and the macros are intentionally skewed more towards protein than carbs. Lot more fiber in it than usual too. It was a little unpleasant starting Huel at first but I got used to it within a week and it doesn't bother me to drink it at all anymore.
>Can I live purely on the stuff for weight loss?
Yes. You can live just fine on any of the popular *lent knockoffs, and can easily manage weight loss/gain by just regulating the amount you eat.

I'll def have to take a look then at their bags of powder. I've been trying to do a 75% liquid diet involving various protein powders but their vitamin amounts were always fucked up so I had to make up for it with various supplements.

Good luck. When I was trying to lose a little weight, I was eating about 2/3rds of a normal daily amount each day, and lost about 20 pounds in a couple months. Now I'm back to eating the full amount and trying to build a little bit of muscle, and it's going well. There's nothing magic about the powder, but using it as your primary food source makes it really easy to portion your intake in a balanced way without falling into traps of foods you didn't know were really unhealthy.

are there any that source its proteins from just whey

>Do you think we will all be eating fake food like Söilent in the future?
The food we eat today is pretty fake if you considering all the processing and chemicals that get added. If you're clapistani, see what the FDA allows as GRAS.
>What do you think of these artificial "meals"?
The stuff being marketed to the average consumer today is nonsense. Actual meal replacement drinks that cover the proper nutrition spectrum have been around for a long time, but get no marketing because they're more for medical treatment (cancer patients, diabetics, and such) and they're pricey compared to real food. The stuff in OP's picture doesn't have a significant amount of research behind it and the people consuming it don't have any idea what kind of long term effects it will have on their bodies.

It's convenient but most people do eat for pleasure so we're probably keeping the vast range of dishes we have.

If we do progress to a more socialist economy, I would guess "fake food" like this could be distributed as easy welfare for poor people, along with humanitarian aid and the military.

"onion" non ferment is bad very bad.

keep trying newfag you'll get there

I admit that I can't keep up with the idiotic filters that the mods here think are funny

I don't think it's the alt right; I think it's an attempt by some other group to weaken the population of the US by discouraging the consumption of a cheap source of protein.

I’m not sure. It could be a coincidence that anyone that drinks it is a beta male cuck but the evidence is there. Maybe cucks are attracted to it naturally or it turns them. Either way it’s there.

If these “men” are meat I don’t think they’d be as bad. Food messes with your brain. Drinking soda and eating chips is going to rewire your brain so why not sōy?

It probably messes with your estrogen levels or the lack of other food doesn’t give you testosterone.

The question is, does drinking it turn people into beta males, or do beta mailes crave protein as a way to recover, and seek it out?

>beta male cuck
the biggest correlation I see is people who use these terms and are pathetic human-beings who blame others for their failures with women and in life

We already do. It's called 'plants as meat'.

it really boils down to just one simple fact: silicon valley males are super cucky
silicon valley people are the only people at really advertise themselves drinking this shit so the connection made itself.

The whole "5oy causes estrogen" is a complete lie being shipped by right wing idiots so they have more excuses to not have real political arguments.

Anybody who actually cares to look up the actual peer reviewed science on it will find out plant estrogen has no effect whatsoever on human hormones.

Not that I know of, but I don't know why you'd want that in particular. It's not going to be noticeably better than protein extracted from any other common healthy source.

Its garbage. People think they are being healthy, but they are not.

Whole foods that you prepare yourself are infinitely better than this processed trash.

Any fat men get less T and more estrogen than 'onion' addicts.

But modern food is a lot sugar and palm oil meaning mostly "beta cucks" are fat low-muscle with zinc deficient.

I just eat $8 take out every day. Portions are big enough I can divide I can eat it for dinner and leave for breakfast next day. The rest of the day I drink cappuccino off the machine at work that somehow fill me enough to not need to eat during the day.

Drinking a Onions is definitely better than eating breakfast at McDonald's or having a coffee and a doughnut from 711. For most people its an improvement

>As far as I know, this shit does not have any söi
Some of the previous versions of it didn't, but the current version contains söy protein isolate as the primary protein source. Not that that's actually a problem, but just so you know.

Don't doctors recommended onions to women in menopause?
>peer reviews
backed my the onions industry

Onions Green is people.

does onions contain enough protein to build decent muscle mass? Because if it's a carbohydrate-rich sludge, it's not worth shit.
technically there is a hormonal effect but you need to drink ~50 bottles per day for months to make the slightest impact on your body.
No effeminate man is effeminate because they drink a specific product. Maybe the product is appealing to that kind of people.

mcdonalds is expensive TRASH and you know it

people complain "GIMP" is a bad name
but they don't complain about "Söylent", named after a similar product in a movie where later forms are secretly being made from human bodies, guess that's not as disgusting as a sexual fetish, huh

wow
