i wont be able to update until early spring of 2020 thanks to the power of the android OEM ecosystem. based android does it again.

I have the Android One version of the Moto X4. Anyone have any idea of when Android 10 drops for it?

no but considering most Android apps are still compatible with android 5 who cares?

Is it worth updating to? All the features seem gimmicky

my pixel 3 on fi doesn't see it

I mean, if you're talking about the full on gesture navigation, there's an option to switch back to the traditional three button navigation scheme.

it's not released yet. no factory images on google's repo and the only websites claiming it's released are a couple shady clickbait blog sites. I've heard 3PM Eastern from a few diff sources tho

android has been the same since lollipop

Why would they update the official Android website if they're not going to release it at the same time?

device dependent images can get rolled out on whatever schedule they deem necessary bc a pixel 2 XL image isnt going to flash on a nexus 10

Well, factory images are live for all Pixel devices on Google's official website.

Probably never

>scoped storage

No thanks.

There is literally nothing worth caring about.

I have an S8+ so I won't get it.

I refuse to believe that people with a steady income use Android over iOS.

just flashed it, thanks bro

How long for Android one devices to get it generally? t. Nokia user

Downloading for my OG Pixel.
>1Gb mobile OS update.

I'm on OG Pixel and so far I can't even load my stock keyboard to get past the lock screen
the fuck

When you buy a new phone probably.

ask Nokia lol

Is this pure shitposting or are they generelly slow or something

Theyve always been slow. I guarantee you that Nokia isnt using Treble and they are starting right now, not months ago like they could have, just like most other manufacturers. Expect 4 to 6 months, if there are no delays

>What is Project Treble

Treble requires a second ROM chip, which manufactures are too short-sighted to implement.

>yes, daddy google
>I want even more lock in to your services

Seems to be working for me.

Splitscreen, new UI, better hardware support, Treble, better ram management, also vulkan api

I don't speak Nazi, what does it say?

Let me guess: more sjw emojis?

"Doesn't work with your standard launcher 'Microsoft Launcher'".
Basically, seems to be exclusive to Pixel launcher.
Also, swipe from BOTH sides of the screen goes BACKWARDS.
It's retarded, honestly.

I'm really disappointed by the new gesture navigation. You can't open the drawers in apps anymore because that triggers a back action.
You also can't back out of full screen image views with a edge swipe gesture because that only works when the pill is on screen so you basically have to do the edge swipe gesture twice.
It's nice having a bit more screen space but this isn't worth it.

New lock screen and status bar icons look ok at least.

what about the option to switch back to the old multitasking?

Once again MIUI gestures prove to be superior.

I still don't have fucking Pie yet because US carriers are incompetent.

enjoy paying off the phone loan
just ripping off all the shittiest iOS features like normal

adding to that, I just realized floating bubble browsers which I heavily rely on are basically fucking useless with the new gesture navigation.

Yeah... I'm switching back now

>new UI
Wew, what a killer feature.

What? Android 10 has three navigation options, afaik. The first are the traditional back, home, and recents buttons that was present until Pie. The second are the pill based gestures present in Pie. The third are the iPhone X-like bar gestures in 10.

no, not the nav bar, i mean't the multitasking view / the recents view. they changed it to some shitty chink iphone shit in the pie update.

It's a fresh look if anything.

Oh. Yeah, I think that's gone unless you use a custom ROM that has that feature. I might be in the minority, but I didn't have any problems with that new multitasking view.

Waiting for some Pajeet to make a ROM for my phone.

You can't see shit, have to scroll sideways forever to make it even slightly useful

What do you have to see? Aren't you going to be in that view just to switch to a different app?

The old top to bottom view was better in every way. You should be able to see at minimum 4-5 apps but they're too busy ripping off Apple like always

To each their own, I guess. I didn't really have a problem with either view. I'll agree they're ripping off Apple on basically everything, even the Pixel 4 design.

Kannst das via ADB reaktivieren

So much this. You should be able to see more apps from the first tap/gesture.
Currently on Android 9, so have given the new format a solid go. Still haven't changed my view on this

Face it, if you don't have Android 10 you're a loser.

Liking the gesture menu actually.

Does it feel natural? I've heard complaints that Pie's gestures were half-baked.

what the actual fuck is that abomination at the bottom center?

>Splitscreen
been a thing for 3 years now
>new UI
wrong again
>vulkan api
wow it's fucking nothing

8.1 on my Nexus 5X is good enough for me with a custom launcher.

>just the way you want it
oh can i remove that google bar at the bottom then?

Treble is a meme, Splitscreen isn't new, better hardware support (?)

wow its nothing

Essential would like a word

>First

He trusted them... lmao
