FUCKETY FUCK WHY IS THERE NO SINGLE CATALOGUE OF LEARNING A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE
ALL LANGUAGE KEEPS GETTING UPDATED YEARLY SO WHATEVER PREVIOUS COURSE ON LEARNING BECOMES OBSOLETE FUCK AGHHH
AND EVEN THEN THE FUCKING COURSES TRY TO COMPLICATE THE PROCESS IN AN OF ITSELF BY MAKING SIMPLE FUNCTIONS LONG DRAWN OUT AND COMPLICATED WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN SIMPLIFIED FROM THE GET GO DISSUADING FURTHER PROGRESS OF FUNDAMENTAL BASICS FUCK AUDSFBN ASFHUJR ENJRWSNG JWSRENG
anyone recommend a decent free site to learn C++ basic frens
Each language has a specification, or as you call it > SINGLE CATALOGUE OF LEARNING A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE Programming languages don't break backwards compatibility regularly as you suggest, so learning something today will be used in twenty years.
You resent the fact that there's work to be done. So don't bother, and don't bother Jow Forums.

>KEEPS GETTING UPDATED YEARLY SO WHATEVER PREVIOUS COURSE ON LEARNING BECOMES OBSOLETE it doesn't work that way
Nathaniel Bell
Just learn Common Lisp you can use books from the 1980s.

write small programs that entertain yourself, printing "hello world" was used to get primitives from the 80s to be amazed they were talking to machines. Now you need to come up with your own keys to dangle in front of your untill your learn a language, writing code that actually works for you is the absolute best option however. Eventually the evolution of the languages will be simple for you to follow.

it's fine most programming languages are mostly similar, once you got one or two under your belt, learning a new one will be trivial, this is even more true for new standards and versions.

Sometimes I feel like there is a conspiracy to make the information required to learn how to do things as difficult to access as possible.

looking at you Common Lisp. Stop fucking updating!!!
>ALL LANGUAGE KEEPS GETTING UPDATED YEARLY SO WHATEVER PREVIOUS COURSE ON LEARNING BECOMES OBSOLETE FUCK AGHHH Nah. There are usually just small differences, only very few languages move fast by any reasonable standard. Even the Python 2->3 thing was pretty tiny.
You can just learn the old thing and then deal with the few differences as you hit them, no big deal.

Sometimes I feel like Jow Forums is filled with retards like you

Orange you glad that they update languages instead of forking it and giving a new name?
