As a programmer, is there any reason to use Windows at all?

Anything?

Why does every Windows laptop suck feces?

If you want to make some money, making Windows ports is a good idea and ... you'll need Windows for that.

And for good reason

Because you shouldn't be looking for laptops for reliability, you should look at them for convenience.

I just want a MacBook but not from apple

So buy an used one, Applel won't get any of your monis.

I want to ____ shintaro

There is no reason for anyone to use windows, ever.

I don't buy used. I just want something light I can code in.

nope. The only reason to use Windows for development is if you're developing only for Windows. Which is a bad move, because you'll have to rewrite your shit if you ever have to support other platforms. Best to write in Qt for guaranteed cross-platform compatibility.

hackintosh a thinkpad

.NET, especially C#. You might also prefer Visual Studio as your IDE for things like C++. SQL Server is nice, as well. That's pretty much it.

SQL Server is available on GNU/Linux now.

.NET shit I guess

I work as a programmer, all my work is done on arch.
