A couple of years ago I was studying Physics and taling a Physics Simulation class and I was having a rought time. I couldn't do my python homework task the night before it was due so I posted on here asking for help, complaining about how it was my professors fault and I insulted him.
Little did I know my professor browsed Jow Forums, saw my post and brought up the screen cap in front of the class and asked the poster to own up.
I didn't own up but I want you to know you weren't a bad professor, I was a dumb immature lazy student and I apologize for my post all that time ago.

I'm supposed to use json and pickle .dump to take user information from a 'tweet', which is a dictionary, and put it in a json or pickle file depending on user input. The user information is stored in the tweet as a dictionary under the key 'user'. I get an error on the .trim() here because str has no trim attribute. But since json.dump makes a string, and I can't find .trim() in any kind of python documentation I don't know what to do. Even removing the trim(), it still says my code is wrong because my string is ordered differently than his test string. However, it has all of the same components and dictionaries and json strings are both unordered so how the fuck is this supposed to work in the first place? I honestly think my code is perfect and he screwed something up but it's likely that I missed something stupid.

Sadly, I'm too much of a sad degenerate to properly motivate myself, so I'm wondering if anyone here would be interested in working on a project together.
I have a solid understand of the fundamentals, algorithms, data structures etc, but I don't have much experience with any technologies in particular, though I'm down to learn anything, provided its not some functional autism like Haskell (not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm studying it for fun currently, but I'm a long way from making something elaborate with it).
I think it would be nice to just work together with someone on something, even if it isn't special. I want to work with people who have experience in programming though, so if you haven't completed a couple courses and aren't capable of self-teaching then this probably isn't for you.

I'm fine with Java, Python, or even C (a bit rusty with C, but I've taken several university courses where it was mandatory for homework and projects, so I know all my pointer shit)
