Not at all.
Bad design decisions about sandboxing and single process architecture are, though.

These decisions are Mozilla's. The first can be remedied by using something like firejail and you'll have to deal with the latter. If anyone's to blame for being stuck with that, it's Mozilla and their decision to remove the ability to properly modify the browser.

The main reason I still use Pale Moon is Pentadactyl compatibility, in order to get the best web browser UI currently available. Once alternate Chromium skins get more complete (e.g. qutebrowser gets jblock/jhide/jmatrix fully integrated), I might consider switching to them. In the meanwhile, Mozilla is outright hostile to addons like Tridactyl (and these addons are extremely limited due to wext nonsense anyway).

Not to mention that youtube-dl can provide you with streamable content. When you point mpv at a YouTube URL, it will be streamed, barring any extended caching configuration you've added to your player.
