>playing wow in 2019
might as well just kill yourself and save the trouble

Here's a tip: do not buy any CPU model that ends with "U" - these are for battery life not performance, the U means ultra low voltage.

Do not buy any laptop that says it has Intel powered graphics, Nvidia or AMD only.

That laptop would play it at low settings at shitty fps because it's worse than a GPU from 2002.

I mean it's WoW classic... he could probably run it on a Yonah

this, wow classic runs fine on integrated gpus

Wrong, I have a laptop with a HD 6750m and it runs like 50fps and less in raids, considering intel GPU benchmarks shittier, OP would be paying $700 for 40fps low settings while it drops to 15fps in big city

Macbook Pro 2019

not too bad,

50fps oh fuck

I'm gonna blow my head off

Ain't no point in training kids these days. Just plug a 10,000 watt PSU up my asshole.

WoW Classic uses the bloated unoptimized BFA engine. So performance is going to tank harder than playing on Vanilla private servers that use the OG 2006 client.

Jesus christ what’s the point of a laptop that isn’t portable? Just buy a desktop at this point

>that isn’t portable?
? I'm a 5"5 manlet and i regularly carry around my 17" laptop(class/work) with no problems. It's not even heavy(7 pounds).I imagine taller people would have even less problems with the size of their laptops. May you're drinking too much onions making you weak

WoW Classic isn't actually old vanilla WoW from 2005, it's basically using the modern engine with the vanilla data on top of it. So the requirements for it would be the same for actual WoW today.

well then he needs an MX150 at least

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX505
ryzen 5 + 1050.
should be plenty just for WoW

With that money try to look for any laptop.with a gtx 1650 and an intel cpu, if you can't then this looks good amazon.com/FX505DT-AH51/dp/B07VBK4SYS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=laptop 1650&qid=1568873816&sr=8-3 but totally overkill for classic

since Classic uses the newer more demanding WoW engine than the original one, you still want a dedicated graphics card
and for that price point you might get the Acer Nitro 7 (new version)
if anyone recommends old ThinkPads, they aren't gaming machines even when fully upgraded, and then it becomes a money sink

OK, I see.
