Why haven't you built your own monitor yet Jow Forums?
You can have a 4K monitor for $250. A 2K 14hz for even less.

Why would I want a 14hz

cinematic gameplay

Because in the time it would take me to research and build one, I could work and make money to buy a better one.

what controller/panel is that?

>6-bit panel
HAHAHAHAHAHA

>Too retarded to look up the panel
How embarassing

Panel is LG LM270WR3-SSA1
Controller is a generic one, with a realtek scaler.

Cause if I got a faulty panel or it was handled badly during transportation, that means $250 lost.

>panel so shitty that it doesn't even have 100% of the common sRGB coverage, only 98%
HAHAHAHAHAHA

Congrats you are now aware of the quality standard for the average 4K monitor.
That said nothing is stopping anyone from building one with a better panel.

this. not everyone is a basement dweller with nothing but too much free time on their hands, so not everyone would benefit from making shit themselves.

Whats the cheapest and best 4k 43"+ panel?

Fuck, shipping and customs is gonna be so much that it's not worth it.

Besides I have one already.

I need a damn monitor arm wall or desk mount that can carry an LG43UD79

show blueprint on what to buy

where do i get the parts?

The eye operates at like 10hz. Just add motion blur and you won't be able to tell the difference.

Panel
Controller board
AC adapter
Cables to connect things
A frame to mount everything on

I can have a 4k monitor for 250 bucks anyways...

Just because something is average, doesn't mean it's good.
I haven't used a panel that isn't at least 10 bits and 99% for over 10 years, even the cheap mediocre shit supports it.

Well it's actually more like $220 I just rounded it up.
Also what monitor?

So? The one in the OP is cheap because the guy just wanted a cheap 4K monitor.
You can get a true 10bit panel with 384 FALD zones made of GB-r LEDs if you want, it's $280 or so last I checked.

What is a good small inch 144hz LCDs? Preferably 24" or smaller.

which one would that be?

Because parts ? Because I have never build monitor ?
Seriously if you drop links with shop for parts manufacturers I am willing to give it a go.

LM270WR6

Just look around on aliexpress/ebay for 4k driver board.
You can also get panels from those places, or find a cheap taobao agent.
The hardest part is probably the frame. The one in the OP is laser cut from a piece of acrylic.

The frame is the easiest part for me, putting right pannel and right driver board together is.
Also, do you need to install anything ?
You just connect it together and that's it ?

Yeah it's pretty much plug and play, if the parts are compatible.
You can ask the shop selling the driver board if the parts are compatible. Those shops usually sell panels too anyway.

>You can ask the shop selling the driver board if the parts are compatible

Hurray, chinklish here I come !

At least you have chinglish. I use taobao so there's no way to communicate with the shop other than small notes on the order through the agent.

Hahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha
>14 hz
>chink controller known to last weeks, months at best before you need to recalibrate everything, over and over again

>known
Nice source m8

COOOMMMIIINNGGGG
sauce?

Where do you get your panels, OP? I've never seen a panel cost less than an equivalent pre-assembled monitor.

I already can have 4K TN monitor from Samsung
why would I even waste time for no savings

>TN
That's why

China
The one in the OP is $115. It's used in the LG 27UK650.

i'm too stupid to do it
also shipping costs from china would kill it

>$115
>plus shipping
>plus controller board
>plus PSU
>plus mount/stand
>when the assembled piece is like $350 on sale
I love diy and all but this is retarded. I can see buying a controller and repurposing a laptop screen for a second display but making your own primary is stupid.

Eh there's no way a decent 4K IPS will ever get close to $350 in my country so it's worth it for me.

That may be. In the US you really can't beat black friday on Amazon for anything.

None of these panels are ips displays, even the "good ones" are basic bitch 60hz tn panels

>You can have a 4K monitor for $250.
oh wow, no fooling?

amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07JXCR263

Oh hey it's the AOC one, no VESA though which kinda sucks. Only one DP and no freesync either.

You can diy vesa easy. If your budget is $250 you clearly didn't need freesync or multiple DP. If you did you wouldn't prioritize 4k.

What does having more inputs and freesync have to do with 4K?

Wrong, they are IPS but the cheapest kind with backlight bleed and horrible glow
This.

price point

Reminder that these panels all come from lots rejected by the big manufacturers. They keep the good batches to themselves and only the rejects are on the open market.

no no no, op is right.
You can get *any* panel as long as its led backlight and eDP.
BUT MOST IMPORTANT you must have a pinout diagram of the connector or it will be very difficult for you to work it out.

eDP is pretty universal and as long as the panel doesnt throw a shitfit, you can usually supply it with power and the DP signal and it goes hey.

Nice source

>provides BOM instead of blueprints

kek

So they are like the korean monitors?
