This I don't understand.
If your work sucks so hard just fucking quit?
Look for a better job retards.

you sound like a boomer

Amazon recruiters keep hitting up my inbox should I take the bait?

It's too late for me brother, save yourself while you can

do you have a job already? are they paying you more? fuck man idk your life, if your a homeless guy posting off a stolen android from 2012 under an underpass id say take the damn job.

>you need a degree and two years of experience for any entry-level job
>all jobs that don't require that have shitty salaries, are dangerous and/or involve inhumane amounts of hours and efficency
The people working full-time at Amazon, Uber, etc. Are not only monetarily poor, they are poor in time. They need money and they need it now, or else they'll starve, so they have to settle for whatever shit they can find.

Large companies take advantage of these people by pushing them to the absolute limit and then discarding them when they inevitably can't deliver whatever inhumane efficency quota they want.

Of course you know his life. He's a 34 year old neet basement dweller with 5 thinkpads watching chinese cave drawings and wearing programming socks while posting on an Korean basket weaving forum about how superior the C programming language for writing fizzbuzz is even though he struggles to write hello world without stackoverflow. It's basically every Jow Forumsentoomens story: spending their time with compiling their packets in the hope to finally rice their already fucked up gentoo system to create the ultimate worshipping altar and home for their 8 year old waifus.

True story, I start today.
>Sign up for warehouse job with hiring agency
>hoping for Amazon because of the pay.
>also select Urban outfitters as an option because of how close it is.
>Start in a week.
>Get a call from hiring agency
>delayed two weeks, and going to be at Urban outfitters instead.
>kind of disappointed because new pay is $3 less, new hours start at 5AM
>Start to hear about all this shit from friends and family
>DodgedBullet.jpg
>maybe waking up at 4AM isn't that bad.

I'd still rather be anywhere other than Tesla.

you're a warehouser scumbag tesla wouldn't be a problem for you it's the intellectuals they put under stress

Jesus projecting Christ.

What's so bad about Tesla?

>REEEEE our bosses are driving us too hard it's bad for our health lets unionize
>REEEEE automation that is going to put us out of the work we don't want lets unionize

Fuck the poor, like really fuck them. Entitled pieces of shit, the lot of them.

Rage firings

>If your work sucks so hard just fucking quit?
because of leftist ideas and economics there is no jobs so you have no choice

What?

Neocons' greatest trick

I work at Amazon, not warehouse, but customer service.

It's not a bad gig, put me through uni. I'm almost done now and I realised that entry level in my field of study will pay the same (but without benefits) as I'm currently making so I'm not sure if I should do something I like more or stay here and try to get into management

The whole thing was a clusterfuck of organization.
We went home early about once a week. on occasion we'd come in and there'd just be nothing to do, so we'd have to sweep the floors for hours until the one machine started working again.
For some reason they'd send workers somewhere else because they're understaffed, or we're overstaffed. Despite this, we still introduced a new batch of trainees every three months.
They SAY that Tesla employees (as opposed to contractors) would get $17 an hour plus benefits, and PTO, but they were conveniently not hiring for at least the four months I was trying. Yes, they signed on new contractors, but couldn't make a contractor a full employee for some reason.
I gave up trying when I found out that about 6 months after I started I was getting transferred permanently to a different area. (instead of the brand new hires who didn't know what they were doing there) and about a week later, I found that I had two write-ups for things I never did, and was never told about. I was told that this would make it nearly impossible to get hired on, so I just left before lunch.
12 hours on my feet was the toughest part, but I admit that was likely because I'm a fat fuck who sits down most of the day.

what trick ? you forbid things on legal level and start demanding retarded concessions for simple things
it doesn't matter if you call yourself neocon or whatever (i'm not amerifart) these are leftist ideas and they will result in less job posistions and opportunities thus solidyfying positions of huge conglomerates and corporations
socialism is for rich people

Rightist ideas romanticize working yourself to death at a shitty job you hate, though.

Yeah, because laxing and deregulating offshoring laws, tax laws and visa worker laws totally isn’t the rights fault the last three-four decades, right?

do what you love buddy. money doesnt buy happiness. you dont want to wake up one day and your 40 with a wife that doesnt love you and a kid that hates you to then go to a job that you hate just because it may pay a little better while you dream of what could have been.

No one's forcing them to stay, if they hate it that much they can work elsewhere.

ok but the point is that amazon isn't specifically worse than other jobs available or else people would work there. Perhaps the job market sucks in general for the working poor but you can only go so far in crticizing a single company

>Just don't work bro!
IF you are this kind of a boomer neck yourself. I work as a programmer and all that good shit but obviously working class people need to be treated well and not like animals.

It is 100% your own fault if you end up in a shitty job. Your life is your own responsibility.

Attached: 1562610854379.png (1920x1080, 1.79M)

Said like a true pampered kid.

The thing is, Amazon is one of the biggest and most powerful companies out there. They are literally driving other companies (retailers, resellers, independent shops, small delivery companies, etc.) Out of business which means more people will have to work for them or starve.

Despite being such a gigantic company, they don't pay well despite receiving millions of dollars hourly and taking 25 % of the money the sellers win (oh, the way they mistreat the sellers is astonishing. Fucking Ebay has a better seller community,) they put all workers under heavy physical and psychological duress and then fire them for stupid shit.

So we have a gigantic company that's driving smaller companies out of business, mistreats both employees and sellers and keeps threatening their employees with replacing them with robots every time they attempt to strike.

>just learn to program XDD
Not only that's not a solution long term, Amazon pays junior devs like shit too. I've seen fucking banks paying more with more chances to get a promotion than Amazon.

Fuck off Bezos.

I work for a amazon warehouse in the uk, its easy work that anyone who is not unfit can do but its boring 10 hour shifts at 4 days a week.

>It is 100% your own fault if you end up in a shitty job
regardless we should not accept the fact that the living conditions of the working class haven't improved much for the last 40 years. something is off.

>Rightist ideas
boomer republicans, maybe.

Attached: obsny5iexvn11.jpg (1024x819, 140K)

sorry for wasting the get tho

And they say Tesla is a successful company lmao.

>4 days a week.
>at Amazon
Are you sure?

They trademarked literal wagecages. It doesn't get much worse than that.

>boomer republicans, maybe.
That's about as "right" as being a corporate ass sucker is "left"

That's what they say you'll be working, but I couldn't help but notice the suspiciously scheduled "Overtime days" pushed off to the side on my contract.

>Amazon pays junior devs like shit too
Six figures straight out of college is not shit.

Yes, a couple of people only work weekends, some work 4 days a week and only 4 days a week and don't even get a standby shift added as they'll cancel it on the day. Some people will work 5 days, sometimes even 6 if they're allowed (90% of the time they aren't). Thats all agency staff, actual amazon workers do whatever the fuck they want from 2 days to 4 days, take months worth of holiday at a time so you never know if they've left or not, they only get the standard 5.6 weeks holiday though.
As agency I sent a text last week saying "I ain't coming in this week, book it as holiday or time off, I don't care which" then I got it approved as holiday even though you can't book holiday via the normal way online right now due to too many people taking holiday.

this is funny because everyone will deny it lmao

Sound like Walmart and any other massive company

I was hired as a developer to make small, locally-used applications for the warehouses. My manager was the same guy managing people packing boxes.
After I got the offer, I asked HR what time I should show up. They told me 8am. Sweet, no problem.
My first day I showed up at 7:30 because I figured I'd have to deal with security as a new hire, which I did. I got a temp badge and was escorted to my new manager's office by 7:50.

I was fired on the spot for being late. Apparently he wanted me there by 6.

Complain to HR?

Holy shit, I looked this one up and I thought it was a 4chins joke, but it turns out it is actually fucking real.

I agree, all people should be separated from their fathers at birth to prevent nepotism
true meritocracy means no daddy's money

160-170 TC is the current norm for entry level, but in time the wages will fall.

Keep telling yourself this. I don’t have a college degree and I make almost 200k/yr. You’re either lazy or stupid.

Good Boy Points isn't a real currency

Yeah, but USD is.

Nobody is forced to work for Amazon.

quit then.. stupid fuckers.

I sell on eBay and Amazon. eBay is definitely worse for general sellers. Once you’re under brand registration Amazon is fairly straightforward.

I guess this one case disproves the entire trend

what kinda job you do and how did you even get to an interview without a college degree?

Good goy

>work at shit warehouse job for a month, even two or three
>study for certs
>pay for a couple of tests
>pass tests if you're not a dickhead
>email smaller businesses that aren't too far from you to work as a contractor
>even better, just walk in and ask to talk to the owner or call them to make an appointment
>apply for work with your certifications plastered on your resume, note if self-studied
>????
>profit or die as you lived, a poorfag

you're always gonna be poor if you don't make time to improve yourself, no excuses. if you can't afford to make a few hours a week for yourself, you're not "poor in time," you're just retarded

I agree with you to some extent, but...
If they're the company in town hiring and you need money to pay bills, then what ?
>Also, normies need to stop buying shit from Amazon.

You forgot the eye contact and firm handshake, boomer.

I am a software developer. I started off in an entry level position, and once I had a few years of experience, no one gave a shit about a degree.

> the living conditions of the working class haven't improved much for the last 40 years.
This is unbelievably false. Those statistics you are quoting are hand-tailored to mislead in favor of a certain narrative.
Take a look at the statistics that track flesh and bones people, instead of statistical groups. The conclusions are diametrically opposite. Also, why do those statistics measure income, not accumulated wealth?

And the working class living conditions in the USA are pretty good to begin with. If they want to work less, just accept a more affordable lifestyle

>23
>boomer
if wanting to not die broke as fuck makes me a boomer then i'd rather be a boomer

>working hard for your goals
>boomer ideal
No wonder you fat faggots all live with your boomer parents crying that we need communism.

waking up at 4am is based

Lol@america how can that sort of shit fucking fly

Amazon HR is arguably the most useless department in the whole building

>just study brah
>who cares if you have two or three jobs to support your family brah
>don't sleep or eat ever brah
>or do like me and ask your parents for money brah

t. single person with zero commitments living with your parents rent free

Amazon allows fake negative reviews to impact your score, their shitty system sometimes takes weeks to update the tracking stuff, so it will think you took several days or weeks to deliver a package, modifying wrong listings or publishing new listings is a pain in the ass. Their support will always take the customer's side and constantly nag you to become Prime.

On top of that, it takes longer to get money from Amazon.

6am to do a dev job. lmao he did you a favor even 8am is fucking bullshit. Slave economy bullshit.

You don't need two jobs to support your family. Just consume less. See my pic related in

Yaay another boomer.

yes

overly-negative horse shit, figure out your problems if you currently can't make time or if you're in a shitty situation, i can't sort that out for you

>Le white man bad!
So true, Amazon dindu nuffin, but people who buy from Amazon are evil!

Been getting up at 4-5am for the past few years, I really enjoy the quiet morning, its really relaxing

>Amazon recruiters keep hitting up my inbox should I take the bait?
They will assimilate you.

Attached: 1565881909686.jpg (808x7321, 2.49M)

If all you have is a spouse, they can also earn money. If you have children while earning minimum wage, you're just retarded and irresponsible.

a guy at my university broke his arm working there.
someone really needs to assassinate bezos

sounds like boomers are extremely logical

this is fucking wild

I did and I'm starting in a week. At the very least, everyone that I interacted with during the recruitment process seemed competent and professional, and the money is almost 2x of what other companies in the area are offering (besides a few like uber).

You're right but amazon don't actually pay minimum wage, its closer to double where I live with £6.15 as the minimum wage while they pay £11.50 with 1.5x and 2x pay rates for overtime. Thats £24k a year or $30k if you don't do overtime and work 4 days a week.

>no experience
>just email them

This is boomer tier.

Well then, in this case you can just work your ass off for a year or two and then use the money you saved to get some useful skill.

You in Toronto?

Did I just doxx myself?
Yeah, Toronto.

then get experience retard
do free work to put shit on your resume
better yet, know your shit, reach out to someone in your field, interview em and get to know em, and do free shit for them here and there and have them help you get a job
shit man, that was hard

>just work for free bro

Imagine taking the time and effort to write this post lmao
seethe harder

doing that to put a few things on your portfolio absolutely works if you only take a few hours out of your week to do it
how can one board be so full of faggots, even the politics board is more reasonable

can you stop living in movie world and come back down to earth like the rest of us?

Not that guy, but I'm kinda against working for free on principle. If he's doing something valuable for another person, he should be getting something back. Also, negotiating compensation is a important skill that should be practiced.
Work for very cheap, but not for free. (But don't tell the government, since that's illegal for some reason)

>The people working full-time at Amazon, Uber, etc
What? Engineers make 150k-200k minimum at Amazon. Uber engineers make even more, especially if you got in before the IPO.

What the FUCK are you talking about?

he’s clearly talking about the amazon warehouse workers and uber drivers you braindead dicknut
