I didn't sleep last night,
so I've been hovering on the border of trying to sleep and just laying down half the day.
I didn't take my nightly meds,
so that has a lot to do with it.
I just hate being obligated to take them.

To be frank, the skin color is not necessarily bad, it has more to do with bad behavior. If someone is well behaved and knows how to live cordially with everyone else, then I'm good with that person, no mater where he comes from. That's the case with my brother-in-law for instance: his father is from Algeria, and he's really a sweet guy and a good father. People like him is proof that integration can work, under the right circumstances.
But here it's the exact opposite: people are not supposed to integrate at all, and instead they just stick to their own groups and little tribes and act like absolute assholes. From what I've got with talking to people here, it's seen as racist to ask for integration. Frankly ludicrous, and the results show.
But enough of this, I'm almost done with this place anyway, and I'll be glad to leave it behind.

Yes, they ask every student to spend at least one semester abroad. Since I'm an exchange student, I don't have to pay the fees of the university, only my school back at home. Which is pretty good, considering how expensive it is.
I could've gone to Japan too, but knowing how harsh they are, I wasn't too keen on it. Also they usually don't teach what I'm especially interested in, so it would have been pointless anyway.

Pretty good. I bought all the ingredients and was planning on making some hamburger/bacon/cheese wrapped hotdogs, but my mom already made dinner. Those dogs will have to wait til tomorrow.

Oh so you know some french? Great stuff. Seems like less and less people are interested by it these days. Funnily enough, France is probably the weebiest country after Japan itself. We get almost all of the releases translated, and mangas/anime has (almost, thankfully) become a normo thing. Weird how these two countries have a fascination for each other.

I had to learn german in high school, but I've always been terrible at it (moslty due to a lack of motivation to learn it, it was either this or spanish).
Most people know of mangas and animes from the TV. Back in the 80s and 90s the overwhelming majority of cartoons for kids were animes from Japan, so we got a taste of it early on. Apparently they were just cheaper than cartoons made in the US, so big TV stations went with them instead.
Sad I've grown out of watching anime. used to love it back in the day
