I disagree, and I think this is the one thing the documentary doesn't do as well as it could. It does a great job of pointing out why America's decisions were mistakes and illuminating the more egregious cases of costly and self-serving political/military decisions, but doesn't do a good enough job of showcasing WHY past history understandably informed some of the more reasonable but misguided choices were made.

Like the domino theory. Yeah, we all get now that it wasn't monolithic communism and whatnot, but let's not act like we weren't clearly afraid of another giving Hitler an inch and watching him take a mile incident like we learned in WWII.
