You wake up in a dirty ditch, covered in mud.
There are some blankets that you're laying, they're covered in mud, too.
The only weapon you have in your possession is a small knife.

Vladimir: "Yeah, Faith said there's a small Resistance Base that we're headed for. Apparently, Seargent Kruber and Geralt are there."
He pours some water for himself.
Vladislav: "Would you like some, Comrade?"

Using the hand of one of the dead Arume to try and fire the weapon doesn't work.
Regardless, you take the weapons anyway.
There's five of them, so you take a few trips back and forth to carry all of them into the house.

You start moving towards them.
It's a strange feeling, you can feel yourself moving but the eyes seem to stay put, not getting closer or further away.
You start to feel cold.

Looking around for a cause, you head to the centre of the scorched land.
There, you can see a scorched pattern expanding outwards as if an explosion had taken place, accompanied by a small crater.
At the crater's centre, there are two large impressions in the scorched, dirt ground.
They're large and appear to be footprints, however, they don't appear to be human.

As you try to sneakily creep over to the window, you manage to have your knee fall through a damaged floorboard, creating a loud cracking sound as you do so.
After your unsuccessful sneak, you make it to the window.
Peering out, you can see a forested area, but not much else.
It's hard to see through the wooden boards.

DUBS
You find some canned baked beans and there's a small, portable cooker in one of the cupboards in the kitchen.
You cook up, three cans of beans, then head up to Georgia.

She's sat on the bed, letting her wounds rest.
Georgia: "Oh, you cooked something?"

After beating the dirt out of your blankets, you look around to see that you're at the edge of a road.
There's a thin layer of mist in the air.
Behind you there's a forest and, beyond the road, the same forest continues.
The road itself looks decrepit and winds off into the forest in both directions.
The only sound you can hear is the morning songs of various birds that reside in the trees around you.

Vladimir: "Yes. I believe we're heading for the Italian mountain range, somewhere on the northern border of Italy. That's where you ended up, right, Comrade?"

The eyes suddenly close and you're left in darkness.
You wake up in a cold sweat shortly after.
It seems Gyro and Lars are both up and about.

The footprints appear to have three toes, spread far apart, pointing forwards and a single toe pointing backwards.
There's a deeper impression at the end of each toe, probably from a slightly hooked claw.
The footprints themselves don't leave the burned area.

Looking around the attic, you find that it's quite large.
Furthermore, you start to notice something off in the air.
After some searching around, you find a ladder that leads down to the floor below.
Two dead Arume corpses lay at its foot, both of them dead to multiple stab wounds.

There is no vehicle.

With the power of your imagination, you work up a boner.
Before proceeding to beat it in the bathroom.

"Good fuck...my stomach..."

You all have some MRE's.
You crack a pork sausage patty and start eating a cereal bar while you wait for it to heat up.
Vladimir and Gyro are chatting, while Fulldoddy is sat on a branch up a tree, no one else is up and about yet.

Carter comes out of his tent and sits on a log, eating his breakfast.
Vladimir, to Carter: "Good morning, Comrade. Would you like some water?"
He holds out a glass of water, before turning back to Gyro.
Vladimir, to Gyro: "What kind of weird?"

The footprints don't leave the burned area, they appear to just move backwards and forwards, while also sliding every now and again.
With that, you start heading back to the camp.
There's a thin layer of mist in the air.

You quickly pile all of the bodies up against the wall, then head back into the house.
You can smell canned beans.
Viper walks over to you as you enter the house. 16
You start walking into the forest.
After a bit of walking, you see something ahead.
There appears to be a squad of five Arume patrolling in front of you.
They're around fifty metres away but haven't seen you thanks to the thick cover of the forest and the thins mist.

He's just walked into the house. 45
You do an epic slide down the ladder and quickly check that everything's clear.
It is.
After inspecting the corpses more closely, you can see that they both had their chests stabbed multiple times before they were stabbed in the side of the head.
There's quite a lot of blood on the floor around them.

"Like explosions out of nowhere. stuff like that"

"Morning. What's the fuss about?"

Fulldoddy: "Now what would cause explosions out of nowhere?"
Vladimir, to Carter: "Gyro was just saying that there was some weird stuff going on in Italy when he was there."
Carter enjoys his breakfast, it's actually rather tasty.

You're on a landing area at the top of a staircase, there's a single room off of it.
After rummaging through their pockets, you come up empty, aside from some weird Arume radio's.

As you flap your blanket around yourself, you hear an Arume shout from behind you.
Arume: "Enemy! Thirty metres! Hold it, identify yourself!"
You turn to see a squad of three Arume pointing their weapons at you, roughly thirty metres away.
It seems she's talking to you.

You sit with them.
Vladimir is there and Fulldoddy is up a tree.
Vladimir: "Comrade, was your morning walk not a peaceful one?"
He holds out a glass of water as if to offer it to you.

Stay still. It’s probably someone else.

"Hopefully we dont get to meet that thing."

He is supposed to be interrogated somewhere in Europe so if we can find a military base we might be able to find him and if we do we could use his nukes to blow up the arume colonies"

As you do, a voice sounds from a few metres next to you.
Scared Man: "P-please, I didn't mean anything! I-I'll leave right away!"
Arume: "Oh, a human? You'll do no such thing. Get him!"
You hear him start to run and the Arume start chasing him, quickly running him down and apprehending him.
It seems your blanket makes for good camouflage.
They don't notice you and begin taking the man away.

It's a bedroom and, after searching it, you find a dead man with half of his head missing, clutching a double-barreled shotgun.
It seems he killed himself a while ago, the shotgun seems like it still works though and there's a lot of ammo for it.

It's relatively clear, with the sun low in the morning sky.
There's a thin layer of mist too.

You follow the smell of the beans upstairs and into the bedroom Georgia is staying in.
There are three cans, she's eating one.
Georgia: "Hey, do you want some baked beans? Viper made some."

After a few moments of chatting, Alyona, Jun, and Hanako emerge from their tent, as well as Vladim from his.
Jun looks like shit and is clutching her stomach, while the others look fine.
Vladimir: "Ah, good morning!"
Alyona: "Huh? Is Faith not up yet? Someone should go wake her..."
Jun: "Yeah, someone do that... I'm just going to... sit here..."
She flops to the floor, leaning against a log.

Hanako sits next to you.
Hanako: "Hmm? You seem to be faring rather well for someone who drank so much last night..."

(Does this mean you're a Resistance soldier? Also, there was a large Arume attack all over Europe in the thread recently, so we'll say you got shot down during that.)
You head upstairs with Adria.

You begin moving into the forest once again.
As you're moving, you end up walking into an area that's far denser than the rest of the forest.
It's kind of hard to move through, with thick foliage and closely-packed trees.
You notice a wall ahead, it appears to be metal.

You walk into Faith's tent.
You see Faith in the middle, with Natasha cuddled up to her and Lyla laying across the both of them, her hands still tied.
They're all in their underwear.
After you speak, Faith moves a bit.
Faith: "Huh? Just a few more minutes..."
She falls back asleep.

Vladim: "What walk, Comrade?"
Vladimir: "The one to the base? I think we're around halfway there..."
Jun: "I don't know if I can walk anymore today... You'll let me ride on the tank, right?"
Vladim: "Comrade, you bearly even had a drink last night! You must train harder for next time!"
Alyona: "I feel like this kind of training isn't going to be very beneficial in the long run..."
Jun: "Aww, shuddup..."

Hanako: "Oo, sausage. You know, if I were with the Arume, I'd have a lovely cooked breakfast with loads of meat... Mmmm, now that would be good. But, I suppose this will have to do..."
She takes the same kind of breakfast you had and starts eating.

DUBS
You look like that and walk downstairs, you see someone out the front of the house trying to put a mattress into a skip.
It looks like a guy, so it has to be a human.
He's got an assault rifle slung over his back.

You devour the beans, they're some good shit.
Georgia: "It's still fresh, after a good night's sleep, it'll hopefully feel better."
She lays back in her bed.

Georgia: "I'm going to catch some shut-eye, I suggest you guys do the same."

The Tunisian military doesn't exist anymore, the Arume invaded over a year ago.
All of the countries broke down and their militaries followed suit, around seven months ago.
The Resistance rose shortly after, connecting any remaining military forces into one global network of military groups.
The stuff about escorting the warlord from Africa works, just not the nukes part.
He could've been giving the Arume information or collaborating with them in some other way, though.

You fall asleep after a bit of tossing and turning.
You have a dream.
You find yourself running around the house and frantically trying to clean it for some reason.

They all jolty awake after you shout.

She frantically tries to cover them all with the sleeping bags, all while kicking you in the leg.
It hurts.
After covering them all up, she looks up at you.

Hanako: "I-it's not like I'm obsessed or anything... Besides, they're all I've ever known..."
She keeps eating.
Hanako: "You're welcome to go and talk to someone else if I bore you too much..."

You hear Faith screaming at Lars in the background.
Then, shortly after, Vladislav emerges from his tent, vodka bottle in hand.
Vladislav: "Gah! What is that racket!"
