this

I was talking about books but fair enough

I am reading Steinbeck's wayward bus, you?

Among Others by Jo Walton
I'm still at the begining but it's quite interesting for now

Nice, I also acquired a book on the archive of diplomatic communications between Moscow and Istanbul. Nobody wanted it, so I just took it to read for a while.

i never read books but i really wanna read and finish this in the summer
i hope i dont just slack off and just dont do anything productive during the summer like always

Are you the Lapis Poster?

sounds interesting! Honestly, I've always felt weird seeing the alliances between russia and turkey, especially since turkey is pretty much a fascist country
are you the russian lapisposter btw?

what is it about?

wow that looks pretty late-stage-of-capitalismish x)

i'm the french lapisposter, not the russian one

You see, Russia is playing a very dangerous game in the Middle East. We don't really have any allies (except Syria maybe), but we are also trying to avoid making any adversaries in the region. For the time being the strategy is paying off with Russia being able to stay kinda in the middle of things, but in the long run it will be very difficult to sustain, especially in the event of new escalations.

And yes, I am.

oh yeah sorry I mixed up things, since both syria and turkey are attacking kurds, I thought turkey was your ally while it's Al Assad

Middle East is a very complicated region, the relations there shift every decade or so, its very easy to mix up stuff. Yet that's what makes studying it interesting.

yeah it's sometimes hard to keep up
for example now that ISIS don't control any land anymore, they kinda sank into the turkish army but they still exist under the name "grey wolves" i believe

sorry I'm going to sleep now, cya ^^

Good night!)

Night shift by Stephen King it’s a collection of short stories

I'm reading The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. I love it so far.

Stalag edition is the best translation

I'm reading Wuthering Heights because apparently I've been on a kick for historical fiction with gay subtext lately.
I'm also reading a lot of manga but that's besides the point

My mom recommended this to me, i trust her taste in polar and so far i'm not disapointed

never heard of it, is it racist or does it only looks like it is?
what do you mean by "gay subtext" ?
I should read this one o/
that's one of the few Jules Verne I didn't actually read. Is it good? If you read other Jules Verne, is it as good as others?

Death on credit. Bardamu is definitely my favorute character.
