I would say you're much more based, though
Only for italians, and a bit for austrians, but only because there are many slovenians living on their side of the border, to the point where many towns, and cities there are more ethnically slovenian than they are italian/austrian.

We get taught that we're both, but usually were told that were more central european than anything else

Some are, some arent. When a nation loses half of its territory, I think it has the right to be, but considering were the Best off out of any ex yugo nation by a long run, were doing ok. And we arent as envious as the serbs or something, just to be clear.

Yep, my family has lived in one town/Village for at least 7 generations. My parents moved to a city when I was younger, but I plan on moving back to the Village once I finish extended high school aka uni

The government is cringe, but at least most of the people are based. Zoomers might ruin Everything, though. Most other aspects in life here are pretty good.

I agree that the landscape is beautiful, especially in the eastern parts, but we arent that developed. Lots of people still move to austria to find better Jobs. But when compared to the rest of the balkans/eastern europe, it does look pretty good.
