Stay safe, friend!

Hello, friend! I'm not sure to be honest. I'm not the original niceway. Others here used to call me dragonposter for a while but then they started calling me niceway. I'm the one who knits and stuff, if that helps. Hope you are doing well!

I'm sorry for mistaking you for someone else. A lot of the posters run together with their flags. You seem nice though! ^_^
>Hope you are doing well!
Bad question to ask me newfren but I hope you're doing well and enjoying your knitting.

Okay we’re back inside.
A tad bit soaked, but inside nonetheless.
What’s new with you?

Oh I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to make you feel bad. I am doing very well myself, and currently I am making a cute braided scarf for a friend! Having a hobby like knitting helps me feel better whenever I'm feeling down. I hope you have a nice evening.

Hello!

rolling rolling rolling

Welcome back! Last time I posted here I was feeling very down, so I've started seeing a therapist which helps me sort my thoughts quite a bit. Just having someone to talk to works wonders.
I also have been trying to get better at crafts, and to that end I've joined a homesteading club where they do a lot of traditional clothcrafts and knitting. It's all very interesting!
What about you, friend? What have you been up to lately?

Nothing has changed at all. I should probably see a therapist myself, but I don’t want it on my medical history so it’s whatever.
I’m glad you’re doing well though friend. I forgot what kind of tea you recommended I try last time so I’ve just been enjoying green tea and oolong tea.
Do you like the people at the club? Have you learned anything new? I’d love to start drawing more, but working up the motivation is hard.

holy fuck this is the gayest thread ever

Hey

haha op must have been banned for avatarfagging

how new?

Oh, they put that stuff on your medical history? I didn't even know. I don't really mind it personally, though. I hope you find someone you can talk to if you feel like it might help.
Oh! I love both green tea and oolong! The tea I recommended was pu'erh. It might be hard to find in normal tea stores, but I'm not sure about the states.
Most of the people in the club are a bit old, so it's hard to relate to some of the things they talk about, but I do like them all. They're definitely nice! I've been practicing braided designs lately, but it is a bit hard since I'm not used to that kind of knitting. I also had one of the club members teach me how to make knitted gloves. All in all they've all been incredibly helpful!

Hello!

I'm still here. It's just very late and I'm getting sleepy. Sorry for the late replies!

Here in America they do, I’m not sure how it works internationally cause of
>American education
>The tea I recommended was pu’erh.
I’m really happy that you remember, didn’t think you would. I might be able to find it online or in the city, after all chicago is a pretty big place.
>so it’s hard to relate to some of the things they talk about, but I do like them all
That’s funny to hear. I always imagined a club like that being filled with little old ladies gossiping about local town events. Good to hear that you like them all and that they’re nice. I bet it must be refreshing for them to have a young-un with them.
Are braid designs hard? I’ve never tried them of course so I wouldn’t know.

It's a bit strange, yeah. I'm not a very social person in the first place, so even local events and such are usually news to me. I sometimes have to admire how aware these people are of what's going on locally. They do tell me it's nice to see young people take an interest in hobbies like these, and generally I feel very welcome. I just hope I can earn their respect as a craftsman one day. A lot of them are extremely good at their craft, no doubt owing to their old age and life-long dedication to their craft.
Braids aren't really difficult, but they are a bit weird for me personally. I'm very used to knitting straight with multiple colours, but I'm not very used to manipulating the actual shape of the article itself. Shaping the pattern instead of knitting it flatly with different colours isn't necessarily the harder of the two, but I'm used to using the colour of the work as a crutch to gauge where I'm at instead of keeping track mentally. Right now braiding requires a lot of focus from me because if I lose count of where I am, I might totally mess it all up. Practice makes perfect though!

It's getting very late so I'm gonna have to go to bed now? It was nice catching up with you all!
Until next time, good night and I wish you all the best!
