Netflix have actually spoken out and said that all the series that they've made recently with either a mixed race family or a blatantly obvious political agenda have failed, but they're going to keep making more and more because dey woke till broke.
In the last 5 years everything political. People like David Walliams has said it would be Impossible to recreate Little Britain today as everyone would take offence, same for the creators of Balls of Steel (imagine the annoyinf devil doing today what he did a mere 7 years ago), same reason Cleese has left, same reason Atkinson has taken to trying to desperately protect free speech.
It's a beast that's slowly bleeding to death, it's financially crucifying itself but it'll last as lonf as they have money.
