no problem
Do you have anything that would be of aid to a falseflagger?
yea blacksmithing is a pretty hard job for a minimum wage
i think you should go with a knife, it's easy to handle but deadly as well.

YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE HE GOES HAHA
I need you to forge a functional knife following your own style. The blade needs to be 18 to 22 inches long and have a hidden tang. Your work will be judged by our panel of judges: The American Bladesmith Society Master Smith J. Neilson, the authority on weapons history David Baker and the edged-weapons specialist and master of the fighting style of Kali Doug Marcaida. You will have 3 hours to forge the knife and 3 hours for the handle. After that the judges will test your knife by chopping a piece of wood, stabbing a couple of barrels and cutting a row of apples. If you make it to the final you'll work for 5 days in your home forge and craft a historical weapon in order to get $10000 and the title of Forged in Fire Champion.
Now you will have 10 minutes to design the knife. The first round starts... now!
i love challenges!
i made a quite simple design, its quite handy and easy to use. it doesn't use that much material either. the handle is made out of pine wood and in a old celtic style.
Well, done! Drop your pencil, the time for the design is over!
The 3 hours for the forging start... now!
i started with the blade. its made out of folded steel from new zealand. its very sharp so don't cut yourself. it's made for the purpose of destroying thots.
as next i made the handle and weld them together, while testing the knife on thots, i got some exp. so i gave the knife a sharpness 1 enchant as well.
Can you do weapon upgrades? I've got this old clunker here that might be salvageable.
i tried to upgrade it a bit... but something went wrong and i made accidentally a exact replica of the schwerer gustav. its 47.3 m (155 ft) in length, 7.1 m (23 ft) in width and 11.6 m (38 ft) in height – for a total of 135,500 cubic ft volume
My tank is fight. Will you take 270 gold for it?
oh, thats pretty much gold. i really appreciate it!
meanwhile two thousand gypsies show up and drive off with the gustav
i need 20 nails and a new hammer
What animu is this from
here you go some nails and the hammer from handy manny
I require a new war hammer to bash in all the gaybois. The head alone must weigh 60-70 pounds (27-31 kg).
good choice of weapon!
Excellent. Take this stretchy thing I acquired earlier as payment.
i dont have any money right now but im building a chair and that could get me some coins to pay for the hammer i wil get some money later for the nails is that ok ?
imagine how much rape's going to happen after you fail to lift it
thanks fine man.
oh thats no problem. you can give me the chair as well so i can rest my back
chair is for Johan Schultz he works at the mill i owe him some money too so the chair is to settle my debt
oh, johan schultz is a cool guy. but you can pay when ever you want.... or maybe never
woah free nails and a new hammer you are good guy if you need anything fixed in your house i wil do it for you for free
Impressive job! And you finished the knife insanely fast too! Didn't expect you to end this soon, to be honest. You're the first bladesmith in the history of this show to do a 6 hour job in less than 15 minutes! Now let's listen to what the judges have to say about your blade.
i'm so nervous. thats probably the most important challenge of my life
The knife looks pretty okay and you worked extremely fast, but I don't like how you welded two pieces together instead of making a single one. The union could be a weakspot especially in such a critical spot. Also I'm not sure about what kind of heat treatment you applied. You had more than enough time to work more on these issues, but at least it looks robust and there's no big failure in it.
I really like your design. It's conventional yet versatile and easy to use. The handle could be a bit longer, but all in all it's okay. Well done!
*Does hand motions and cuts through the air with the knife* It feels good in the hand. We didn't have any thots to test it with but it performed pretty well and I can confirm that your weapon, sir, will cat.
Thanks gentlemans for your time. I know it doesn't look that impressive, but you can feel the hearth of the blade while you use it in a fight. If you want to test it yourself, i have some thots left.
Looks like the judges are satisfied with your job. The sharpness enchantment really helped against those nasty barrels and apples. Since there's no other contestant, you automatically qualify to the final round. Now you will go to your home forge to craft pic related: the German Zweihänder.
The Zweihänder (German 'two-hander') is a large two-handed sword primarily in use during the early decades of the 16th century. Zweihänder swords developed from the longswords of the Late Middle Ages and became the hallmark weapon of the German Landsknechte from the time of Maximilian I (d. 1519) and during the Italian Wars of 1494–1559. These swords represent the final stage in the trend of increasing size that started in the 14th century. In its developed form, the Zweihänder acquired the characteristics of a polearm rather than a sword due to their large size and weight and therefore increased range and striking power. Consequently, it was not carried in a sheath but across the shoulder like a halberd. By the second half of the 16th century, these swords had largely ceased to have a practical application, but they continued to see ceremonial or representative use well into the 17th century. In popular culture, you can see Zweihänders in video games such as Soul Calibur and Dark Souls.
You have 5 days to forge your own-style German Zweihänder with the following requirements: its handle needs to be long enough to wield it with both hands and include a pommel, the blade has to be double-edged, at least 4 feet 7 inches long and must have a cross-guard for parrying attacks.
After 5 days the judges will test your Zweihänder and you'll be able to win the champion title and the 10 grand check. Good luck!
man what a challange, i'm so exhausted.
To the blade: its a german weapon so i choose a "Fallschirmjägergewehr 42" for it, it comes with a bypot and a wooden grip. its a bit lighter than the original blade but its way longer and of course double edged and you can hit targets with it in about 1500 meters. the crossguard is made out of a another zweihänder, so you can hit your enemy's beside you more easily and you don't lose the ability to parry attacks. The handle is made out of a obsidian wood rod, for a nice grip and immunity to lava. And i didn't forget the pommel! its made out of the start from alpollo 11 the first mission to the moon from 1961.
So i combined old and new materials from the 14th century up to the 19th century in one masterpiece!
Your Zweihänder looks impressive. However, performance is more important than aesthetics so the judges will test your blade's sharpness against a couple of blue whales, its strength against a WWII anti-tank bunker and its edge retention against a roll of toilet paper. Doug, you're up.
Your sword is very heavy yet well balanced, so it's easy to recover after each attack. The obsidian is well carved and ergonomic. The sword's multiple lethal parts worked wonders in every single thrust against the targets and the Apollo 11 reactors gave it a nice speed boost in each swing. Your weapon, sir, will keel.
The blade performed quite well. The bunker is still there, but the point of this test is to see what the bunker does to the sword and not the other way round. Your blade suffered no damage so you pass. Nice job.
I think the Apollo is a bit low on fuel after all the testing but it still works. Speaking of the Apollo, the addition of von Braun's Saturn V is a subtle yet interesting reference to Germany's role in the space race. I also really like the FG42 as a weapon on its own and it's a nice historical touch to the whole piece that also fits with the Germanic style in your weapon. Nicely done!
heh
Thanks for the criticism, I probably already learned more than in my whole life. how does it continue?
The judges have spoken and it's time to announce the winner.
Germanon... you're the Forged in Fire champion!
This title comes with a $10000 reward. Congratulations!
i'm so relieved.... thank all of you for your time and helping me out to master my passion. a special thank you for Spainanon who hosted the whole show. i hope i can teach somebody else in the art of smithing soon.
