Everyone says the solution to fix Jow Forums is to delete Jow Forums, but this is not true. The #1 problem with Jow Forums is Pepe and Wojak.
Just look at /a/ and /jp/. Both of these boards are Pepe and Wojak free, and they are both the two best boards on the entire website. If Pepe and Wojak were quarantined to /trash/ where they belong and every other board was Pepe and Wojak free, Jow Forums's quality would increase substantially, and Jow Forums would be a much better place because of it.
I actually agree with you, Jow Forums tries too hard to abstain from mainstream media, they hold onto things for way too long. Fresh content is needed unless the site wants to go down the same shithole as reddit.

The worst arguments I’ve seen by them is in response to being called “wojak redditor” or something along those lines. They tend to say things such as “reddit steals everything, doesn’t matter to me,” “wojak is a part of Jow Forums’s culture,” or “how does using a character that reddit’s hijacked make me reddit?”
As long as pepe and wojak put the user on a high pedestal so they can feel superior (or vastly inferior) to anons for some reason, then they will continue to be used by underaged b& and other normalfags. Those are the only boards where wojak and frogs are banned. There are other good boards like /out/, /an/, and /ck/ but you won't see as many frogs and wojaks there as you would on Jow Forums or Jow Forums.
An algorith should be released. It will cross-check your ID internets tags of Jow Forums and check references to other sites of note such as reddit, twitter and such. If both or even all sites are existing in the same computer history, caches, cookies and so on, fdisk operations will begin automatically.
They're trying to do a run on /an/ and /ck/. I just hide any thread that have these things.

The NPC meme is a natural derivative of the Wojak meme. Natural, because it spawned in response to real-world events, rather than being a forced meme. You complain about Wojak and Pepe being repetitive and boring, but then you admit that the NPC meme is similar yet distinct from it. That's how memes work; just like genes, they evolve over time.
And just like genes, there will be a lot of evolutionary dead ends that you will unfortunately be privy to while browsing Jow Forums. But only the best memes will survive long enough to be adapted into different memes. Or at least the ones that respond best to the selection pressures put on them; that being the preferences of both the people making memes and especially those who view and repost them.
