What's popular a food item in your country/area that you despise? For me it would have to be chili. I have never been able to enjoy this slop, it's so nasty and unappealing.
Terrible food

Hate fast food except for KFC, which I can only get rarely. Would rather cook for myself.
i am anosmiac
so you be sayin
Most of the food here is pretty good.
The only thing that kinda gets on my nerves is Red Beans and Rice.
Not bc it's inherently bad,
but almost everybody makes it so bland and flavorless.
I've had good Red Beans and Rice,
I just can't stand the way most people make it.
We call those pinto beans here. I'm not too big into them either.
lol I just made some amazing chili the other day. maybe you just never had any good stuff. to be honest though I've never went crazy over chili I've bought at a store or restaurant
try this cowboy chili recipe, partner. yeehawwww

Vegemite, I never developed a taste for it,

See this? It can wipe your face from planet. But i wont use it on you. You see, romania is good test zone. I just send my bomb there. Or you can surrender and i wont bomb your lover motherland.
See this? It can wipe Russia from the entire multiverse if she wanted to
We have battle cats to neutralise her.
In Poland we have similar shit, but with fish inside
that fucking cheese with maggots.
It should be banned worldwide
Bitter and a little salty. There's nothing really to compare it to
borscht
Fucking olivier salad with loads of cheap ass disgusting mayonnaise. For some reason it's made by bucketloads by every family on new years.
What is the story of that? How did it originate, and is it popular on the island of Sardegna, or no?
Those seem very bad.
I don't like mayonnaise, and it annoys me how prevalent it is in many American foods, even typical like hamburgers.
Yeah its a Sardegna's cheese and its should be a health azard but they keep making it.
I think that the used to store the cheese in the open air and one day a fruit fly ( we call it "moscerino" ) went inside and layed eggs.
It's called "cacio marcio" and it's translated in "rotten cheese", im not joking.
hm interesting, I’d like to try it just once
We eat that gelatinous bullshit too. I find it to be practically inedible.
bacon
much prefer breakfast sausage with eggs. burger doesnt need bacon. horrible topping for pizza. too often burnt, and a char doesn't improve it
was vegetarian for almost 2 years, and im not strict/taking a break on veg for the time being and eating a pig still seems like eating a dog, to me
although i recognize it's utility on a turkey sandwich, im just anti-bacon. and bacon memers are cringe
We call this russian salad in spain and it can be the best/worst food depending on each place
When i was a kid, i spent my summers on the country side with my grandma and ince farming seasons this was on the plate every fucking day, most sad food i can recall
what is that? looks like vegetable soup
is it served cold or warm or WHAT
It’s called Koshari, and is basically a mixture of pasta, lentils, and rice with tomato sauce and onions on top. It CAN be great at times, but often it’s badly done and tastes like shit.
FUCKING SMALEC. it is like butter but made from fried bacon...
It looks like frozen milk with meat, just look at pic above.
I have such a big palate that I cant relate
tf am i supposed to hate?
poutine?
that shits killer dude
STUDEN IS ACTUALLY NICE!
This
and smetana
A little bit like miso paste (especially the black one)
Head cheese is disgusting.
casu martzu frocio non cacio marcio che cazz'è cacio marcio
its nice if you mix it with butter
Sauerbraten. Why would you ruin a delicious piece of good meat by making it sour.
Looks like green beans and potatoes. Nasty and sad indeed.
i have yet to find a food i genuinely dislike
i guess butternut squash is bad but it's good in ratatouille and gazpacho
Oh come on.
Chili when well made is pretty fucking good.
Also snails. I will never eat that shit, fuck you grandpa the future is now you old baguette.
sauerkraut, really sour and no taste at all
the cat doesnt look like it wants it
a bitter salt
I think most people eat it because the cooking process makes the meat really soft, I agree with you though,
