French is harder than i thought but maybe i was to optimistic here.
From the vocabular is this language pretty easy there are many similar words in german and english, the hard thing in french is that it is hard to spell for an austrian and reading is a bitch.If you spell something in french i will not be able to write it down.

Yeah many people who learn french think think most of the time that it's just a easy latin dialect like italian. It's not.
French is a derivation of latin for sure, but it also have a heavy celtic base and many germanic words.
It's pretty hard to learn for foreigners
