I joined /b/ around 2013, and I've gone there near daily until now.
To me, it used to be a place for quality shitposty chaotic random. The adult stuff was a staple sidenote, and the politics was few and far between.
Now, I don't really see good shitposts anymore. The best threads seem like reposts of memes generated by other sites, and adult content and artificial politics threads are 90% of the content.
Where should I go? Is that culture I got into just gone? Is it still on Jow Forums, and if so, what boards? Is it on /b/, and I'm just not noticing it, or have times really changed?
There was an effort earlier this year to get rid of the porn and make /b/ random again, but it didn't succeed. The posters gave up after 1-2 weeks, and /b/ returned to the new normal.
I still check it now and then, and there's sometimes a decent thread hidden in the midst of the dickgirl dumps and scat fetishist threads. There was a really comfy thread the other week about moths, for example.

I hate discordniggers too but Jow Forums has always been anti-Jow Forums and anti-Jow Forums you absolute fucking retard. One of the main reasons Jow Forums was created was because after the 2017 april fools event, people kept on pestering the mods and hiroshimoot to give us a /b/ with flags since /vint/ and /spa/ were comfy. Mods thought they could kill two birds with one stone and created Jow Forums to be /b/ with flags and also send Jow Forumstards here. There was already an effort within the first week to drive out Jow Forumstard politics, Jow Forums chatrooms (country circlejerk generals) and Jow Forums blogposts
The porn dump sticky didn't even get stickied until after a few hours because people were already making porn dump webm threads. That's when the filesize was lowered to 2 MB too.
That doesn’t change the fact that it was intended to contain those kinds of posters. Sure we drove them out but mods still think that we belong to their boards for some reason

My point is that Jow Forums and Jow Forums have never been a part of board culture. They come and post but they never stay because they either don't fit in, or they act like retards and get driven out.

Nice way to out yourself as a massive faggit. You joined at pretty much the worst possible time. You have no right to complain when that year was pretty much the beginning of the end.
I first got there in 2011, I think specifically when bin laden got rekt. It wasn't ever really that good but there's definitely more porn and more dumb easy reposted memes that would absolutely be called 9gag reddit trash back in the day. I don't go there anymore, hell i don't visit Jow Forums much at all anymore unless im really fucking bored. It's just the nature of things, people find more specialized interests and move on to other boards.
