Post ur cunt's Air-Force.
Ps: Don't forget the helis :^)
sorry we don't have air force
same :(
Plz sell replacement
Plz sell attack helicopters as well
buy F-35 lol
We also bought a lot of these second hand from Uncle Sam.
Is that airforce or army aviation?
F20 would have been great for mexi airforce
What's up brother?
Seems a bit exesive, a few F16s and F18s would do the trick
Yeah, they did had the prototype here for evaluation and the high command loved it but for some reason or another the sale never came to be, I think Northrop cancelled the project
>Is that airforce or army aviation?
the latter iirc
only our old CH-53s are still air force
Its because ronald regan authorized the export of f16s, which took most of the f20s martket share
And we didn't get on board with the F16 cause we were in debt thanks to an earthquake
Same reason why we only got 12 F-5 when 48 were planed
Fuck tectonic plates
>we were in debt thanks to an earthquake
brah....
>1985 earthquake killed over 10k people
>City with outdated building codes and built over a lake bed that amplifies the power of an earthquake by at leas 100 times
You situation and ours is completely different, you get stronger but your soil is rocky soil, we get a bit lighter quakes but our soil amplifies them and makes the waves stick around for longer
Here have your own people explained to you youtube.com
Such a shame the F-20 project wasn't completed
Alouette III, in service since 1961.
I don't know if there are older airframes in service in the world.
What happened to the F-20? Why did never went fowards?
This
Is it safe to operate still?
Our Alouettes have been in the museum for a while now
>Ps: Don't forget the helis :^)
I've got this.
I see. Too bad it died, it seemed like a F-5 on steroids for the time.
Nice.
There is probably not a single piece of origin on them, it's just that this machine does its job remarquably well for a cost that even civilian operators dream of.
They'll be retired in 2026 (maybe).
Are Lamas still used there?
There are many smaller jet trainers on the market nowadays. It can't be that expensive for Mexico.
Or ur govt could go full absolute madman and buy Chink/Paki.
planefu
It never was used I think.
Wher did you got the money to buy that ffs?
Buy Su-30 to spite Drumpf
Our government spends shit on defence, basically tells the armed forces
>Here you have less than 0.7% of GDP, now please do the job of the police, judges, detectives, prevent the cunt from collapsing into a failed state and prepare an invasion of Guatemala, don't make much noise while doing it and prepare for more budget cuts cause MUH elections
Guatemala is a threat to Mexico? But i understand how it feels, budgets cuts here are quite frequent but somehow they managed to cry a few billions more for some naval project.
>the coast guard has better helicopters than the air force
EU gibs.
>Guatemala is a threat to Mexico?
Nah, more of a joke but such plan does exist due to tensions with them during the 1950s
During the last 20 years our congress has blocked a total of 9 attempts by both the air force and navy to obtain new fighter jets
And recent accidents have shown the truly inept leadership of the current air force command
You know the Harrier was the first import jet used in combat by the US Military since World War 1? It also had a brutal reputation for engine failures at first and was seen as a hazardous or disrespectful assignment by some pilots at first. It did however prove itself quickly though and 20 years after its adoption it had a better availability rate than almost any other plane during the Gulf War.
But now I realize that they actually do something, the air force in the other hand is totally useless... They don't do a shit.
Don't the officers there go overseas for some course or exchange?
On second thought beaners can't fly, they should buy S-400 instead. It would be worth the price to see the pentagon have a meltdown.
10 of these is our airforce
That's HMS Ocean not HMS Queen Elizabeth - look at the bridge. Totally different shape.
Im sure they do, but still moral is quite low atm
Russian gear can have a complicated spare parts supply
Then they should insist maintenance be included as part of a deal.
I don't think morale has a say when it comes to this desu. Training and doctrine must be kept in shape even in peace times.
Russian post-sale were always shit. For some time our MI-24 had to be grounded because the Russians weren't sending parts for maintenace. It appears they fixed that for us at least, they have a good availability rate now.
That's why you want to pay in installments. If they don't service their product the contract can be voided and they can't take it back from you.
Sure, but the thing is these Mi-24 weren't even planned for our armed forces, it was actually some political deal. They were supposed to go to the army, but they didn't wanted to fuck their logistics and maintenance. Now they're looking for some ex-USMC Cobras.
So in the end the Air-Force had to take them.
You're welcome
picrel
I once read an article saying that it would be cheaper with time for the Air force to go with the Su-35 or even the PAK FA over time than the Gripens
Was it Slavboo autism?
That’s why we are buying mostly from you and Europe
Russia doesn’t always comply with deals even if their gear is good and cheap
That impacts on lack of money, the F5 squadron has the bare minimum of flight hours, they are basically grounded for 3 months a year.
Meanwhile helicopter and turbo prop pilots have almost daily flights. But this is also coming just now with all the new shit we got, second hand gear was also grounded for long periods of time, so basically now we are re training all personnel, abandoning the previous task of plane cannibalism for spare parts
The Air Force shares budget with the army, and the army eats most of it
For some politicians our Air Force is their private air line, a lot of good helis and planes were converted into VIP units leaving the already small tactical squadrons one aircraft short
liar....
Going to marry an F-15E
Remember me?
Most of our helicopters are under the army air arm or the fleet air arm
The RAF only operate Chinooks and Pumas now
also like one SAR heli but no-one cares about that
It wouldn't make sense for our reality. Sure it would be fucking awesome to have a Su-35 or even a 5th gen. But our financial and political reality wouldn't allow. A Gripen will be as good deterrent as one of the "big boys jet" here in Sudamerica, since we also don't "project power" outside this area. Plus, the Air-Force and govt wanted full tech transfer, which many of the competitors at the time weren't willing to do it. Russia were ones of those willing to transfer, but personally i wouldn't believe Russian would transfer their "flagship" jet tech to us,a cunt that isn't really as close to them.
In the end, as it been proving, going with the Gripen was the best choice for us.
Not a big fan tbqh
I really really like tankers
Yeah, the version you used was the Alouette II, my mistake
It proved itself more than worthy during the Falklands war.
Can one actually go through the whole plane and look out the windows or is the whole fuselage full with fuel and the manufacturers were too lazy to remove the windows?
Excuse the dumb question pls
Really like the b-1 for some reason lads
This is about as angry as an RAF pilot gets.
>USA imported jets during ww1
In certain parts, yes
Obviously this depends on the tanker but the a330 keeps a fair space for passengers
We're planning on scrapping the royal flight concept and just ferrying her maj around in the back of one of these things if she needs to get around the globe now
Cool
R1s are cute! CUTE!
Reminds me of the Bandeirante.
I always thought the F-117 looked qt.
Whaddya know, it was introduced before the beechcraft was
Looks like brazil leads the world again
serbs get so proud over shooting one of these down, it's like their greatest military accomplishment. they crack me up
Slickest design ever
I miss boatplanes desu
A classic plane here
Why shouldn't they?
For all the fags who signed the interest letter, you better fucking buy it. NOW!
The good times are gone
I got banned from Rein Main air force base, true story.
>tfw it's almost true
en.wikipedia.org
Well, somehow we bribed you to buy our stuff.
Postin' the banger.
I like those too
WWII?
Yeah
