Why do Indians hate their heritage so god damn much? Every other immigrant is proud of their country. Indians seem like they want to erase their upbringings entirely.

East Asians are like that too.
Idk why.

If you were proud of your country, why would you immigrate to another?

Most Hondurans at least admit they are Honduran.

>Every other immigrant is proud of their country

Brazilians in the US won't shut up about Brazil.

Open bob and vegen pls

No one would be proud for being known for stuff like this.

They know it better than you. I hate Brazil too and if you lived here you would understand.

I'm Burmese and Burma is an utter shithole as a result of socialism and other terrible ideas. I hate the country because the people are backward and the government is basically mini-Russia with a bunch of bloodsucking industrialists who sell resources to China while giving nothing back to the people.

I admire Burmese culture and I am happy with my heritage but it is not something I think about it. I am Canadian first and Burmese second. If given the chance, I would love to give advice to Burmese people who wish to reform the country.

At least Burmese people doesn't look that bad from google pictures.

>utter shithole as a result of socialism
I doubt that Burmese politicians were that much into socialism. I'm not sure, but as far as I remember, they tried to fit together something unfittable.

>Burmese
Any take on those Bengalis in Burma called 'Rohingya'?

Burmese people are actually considered the ugliest SEA people desu.

Wrong post

I have no idea what youre talking about because all the indians here love india. Personally I believe being indian is a punishment for doinf something terrible in a past life and I would like to distance myself from India as much as possible if I could (I cant) so I see where these people are coming from.

My mistake then.

Indians have the worst inferiority complex out of any people in the world. It's completely uncool in every respect to identify as Indian

Weird. Sad and weird.

Political assassination of Aung San Suu Kyi. She has no control of the situation. It is 100% the fault of the military. Western media knows this but only a few have reported this. The West will boycott Burma and the Military will use this as evidence against Suu Kyi's incompetency then try to consolidate legislative power. Suu Kyi is trying to be Kissinger. I'm sure she realizes that one can't be a politician and uphold the so called values of the Nobel Peace Prize. She doesn't care about the Prize as well. But she is dumb if she does not realize that Burma's future is solely dependent on Western help less we become a vassal of China. I'd sooner see the complete destruction of Burma than let Burma become a prostitute of China.

Do you think anyone cares about the Rohingya? It's been like this for more than 2 centuries. Their situation is unfortunate and they are also the victim of radicals in their own group but they will not receive sympathy from the Burmese. Arakan is not theirs.

This is new to me, I thought Indians were blindly patriotic

I think it's a lack of a distinct culture or people to find pride in.

General Aung San was a socialist. Burmese way to Socialism was adopted IIRC in the 70s. Many Soviets helped train Burmese military. My Father's university professor was trained in St. Petes. Also Chinese influence etc. Burma was very "socialist".

You're in the wrong country to see that side of Indian immigrants. Simple as that. Nobody would want to be Australian here.
