i haven't watched NGE so the feels you're feeling while hearing that song are likely based on you having watched NGE, and the scenes were the song was used. it sounds like a generic anime ballad to me desu. katyusha, however, is just an epic song.
not judging though. there are couple of video game and anime songs that are dear to be heart although you could argue they are not that special by themselves. also i have fapped to asuka dozens of times in futa doujinshi. i hear she's a great tsundere, which i am a sucker for.
