You sound like Niko from GTA IV?

May be some day I work up a courage and post it, I'm just having ptsd now still remembering how bad it was
Worse, he is also much more eloquent

Don't mind it, speaking language is a different skill then reading/writing so it's normal to suck at speaking at first. You'll get better with a practice.

Swedish is a Germanic language, so is English, most Swedes just need to learn the words, choose an accent to imitate and tada they speak fluent English
Russian has tons of different syntax

what did the tech support say when you were talking? do you think he was making this anime face? x____x

So could I speak Swedish without sounding awful?

Niko is from Serbia tho

you're a shart so no

Not much, he could still sorta interpret what I meant so he just answered all my questions and we bid farewell

It's ok Ivan, here's my shitty German

False

>Fairly confident in Spanish
>Say 'Hola' to bro who works in CC cafeteria who I talk with while he makes my food
>He smiles and says 'Como estas?'
>Get all tense an awkward and brain shits itself
EVERY TIME! WHY CAN'T I NOT BE AUTISTIC IN ANY LANGUAGE AAAAHHH!!

> Hahst doo Probleme mit deinum Farrad?

Well yes, if you can roll your Rs and learn the words and somehow make sense of our det/den system then yes
I have met many americans who speak swedish, some with no accent, some with a lot but i understood them all

On a scale from 1 to 10, how painful is a thick American accent in Swedish?

Less than an Arabic one, worse than a Finnish one

People have difficulty rolling Rs?

Post voocaro, i want to know if you have the stereotypical gringo accent

nobody thinks less of you for having an accent because theres so many second language speakers
no fucking way i could roll an R
i can imagine english accents in other languages sound really grotty
