American post

Hallo Amerika

hows your vacation? enjoying germany?

In first grade geography.

It's the other way around.

excuse me, can I have answers please

Summer and winter occur because the earth's axis is tilted relative to the orbital plane. Thus, half the earth gets more sunlight half the year, and then the other half gets more sunlight for the other half of the year. This is why we have seasons in the first place. At the equator, the tilt doesn't really matter, which is why they essentially don't have summer/winter.

if there is no summer on the equator, why is it so warm there then?

also summer/winter is not about the sun. the sun also shines in winter, but when it does it's not automatically summer temperatures because of it. it's the air that is cold.

Because it always gets a lot of sunlight.

>also summer/winter is not about the sun
They definitely are. Read a book besides your prophet's mad ramblings, Achmed.

When I was about three years old

but you are wrong.

No. Guess what else? The Earth is literally billions of years old and your ancestor was a monkey.

Uuuh, it's always summer here

>The Earth is literally billions of years old
HAHAHAHAH, no. Maybe your mother is that old.

>your ancestor was a monkey.
then your's was a rat

Well our winters have sucked these past few years. Not even snow during Christmas.

Everything's the other way around where you live

Same. The 2000s was the end of stereotypically snowy winters here.

I knew when I was a kid but it just felt wrong. It wasnt until an aussie poster talked about how he loves grilling in the sun during Christmas that it hit me.

Thank you for the laughs guys

The opposite happens quickly because there is clearly something going on when all those Christmas movies have snow while we face a scorching summer, but I guess for northerners there is no easy sign like that.

When I was a kid, dunno exactly when

I flushed the toilet to see in which direction it goes

no problem, it's always fun to expose a Swede's lies

ok

I've never experienced a cold Christmas :(

why don't you just prepone christmas to the 24th of june?

It doesn't snow where I live anyway :(

Last year was the snowiest year on record in Swedish history btw.

When I was seven.
