Red = constitutional, monarch is mostly ceremonial
Pink = constitutional, monarch weilds executive power
Purple = absolute

Roughly 1/4 of the world's countries are monarchies today. As far as I know Georgia is the only country where the majority of people are polled as being consistently in favour of restoring the monarchy, although there are other countries where it's a possibility. Spain and Cambodia both restored their monarchies in the last few decades.

Our King is mostly ceremonial. Although technically it's part of the government (executive power). The government (King + Ministers) are one.

For comparison, these are monarchies in 1900 (Napoleon III's rule was still well within living memory, and monarchism in France was still a relevant political movement)

In practice he mostly has an advisory role.

>Constitutionally, the monarch is head of state and has a role in the formation of government and in the legislative process. He has to co-sign every law to make it valid. The monarch is also ex officio chair of the Council of State, which advises the cabinet on every piece of legislation and is the final court for administrative law. Although the current king takes these functions seriously, he refrains from exerting his power in these positions. The monarch also plays a central role in the formation of a cabinet after general elections or a cabinet crisis. Since coalition cabinets of two or more parties are the rule, this process has influence on government policy for years to come. The monarch used to appoint the informateur until 2012[4], who chairs the formation talks, after consulting the fractievoorzitters (parliamentary leaders) of all parties represented in the lower house of the States General. When the formation talks have been concluded the King appoints the cabinet. Because this advice is a matter of public record, the King can not easily take a direction which is contrary to the advice of a majority in parliament. On the other hand, what is actually talked about behind the closed doors of the palace is not known.

That's usually how it goes for most constitutional monarchs today, although with some like Japan or Sweden the monarch has absolutely no role at all within government

We have one political party, the SGP, who wants to ensure we remain a Kingdom until Jesus comes back to earth.

Then Jesus can become the King of the Netherlands.

monarchey is the best
but the emperor is not good now
emperor Nintoku era was tax free

Apparently the Netherlands does still criminalize lèse majesté.

Based

A while ago one guy threw something harmless to the Kings car and he was almost locked up for life lol.

The judge declared him insane and dangerous. Only in appeal it turned out he wasn't crazy at all. So after 2 years he got let go.

But he still gets arrested if he's in the same city as the King. Which even happened in Germany.

Is Vatican a monarchy?

What's the point of having a monarchy if it's just a crowned republic?

Bring in on samoderzhaviye.

And yeah we have like 3 movements, and one famous politician Janusz Korwin Mikke who is a monarchist (but not a legitimist, he believes that a warlord will simply crown himself like in the original monarchies and that old dynasties have no real chances of returning).

This is the main one.

My main odds with them is them being liberals largely, so proposing something like the monarchy of Liechtenstein (which is libertarian, but holds the most power out of all European monarchies), I don't think you have any of them supporting anything close to the retarded pseudo-monarchies of Europe.

There is still a disagreement over our dynasty. Most seem to be in favour of the Wettins, who were our dynasty according to the Third May constitution (and worst dynasty in history in general), some supports Żywiec Habsburgs who were supposed to rule reconstituted puppet Kingdom of Poland state, there are also "Romanovs" (Germans took over the dynasty) who could be our dynasty, as our last technical rulers, but I haven't seen anyone proposing them.
My main odds with those are that they're Germans, of course. We should return to something native like Piasts if we'll even have to reinstitute monarchy. And then keep them in power with Crusaders Kings 2 tier autistic eugenics, so no Germans will take over the house like it happened to most of them.

If anything it's closer to an elective theocracy lol. Kinda like Dalai Lama's see and Tibet ruled by them.

What was a sad fate of our first royal dynasty - They ended up wholly germanised, ruling Silesia (first Czech, then Austrian, when we lost it).

This is supposed to be the last Piast.

the pope is also the king, so yes

>Having a king
pathetic and bluepilled.

Weren't your two kings the only time Brazil was even good, and you were doing rather terrible after overthrowing them?

Yes. The pope is a monarch

How do people in France feel about having a king or emperor again? Given the wreck of a government they have now.

Based George. It seems that even your royalty doesn't like Poland

Every French ruler is a Co-Prince of Andorra, including their presidents.

Reminds me of the system Holland had in the past lol. Or even us.

But yeah, didn't Macron said France needs a King or something?

"Fifth French Republic", they should stop trying.

In the Netherlands every King or place holder (during our republican times) has always been of the house of orange.

There was a moment when that wasn't the case. But those rulers got lynched by an angry mob, cut open and eaten.

We literally ate our republicans lol.

Yes, but this time is gone.

I'm a republican bro
