Show me what new buildings look like in your cunt.
USA: these are popping up in everyone's downtown.

Stop making this thread.

You hate discussion?

They look the same all around the world.

5 story apartment buildings with brick façades on all sides

This

They built this in my hometown recently. It's a museum

Attached: M9_rendering-aerial-view.jpg (630x945, 134K)

I can find the same in Switzerland

Awful “design”

Lol they just built something like this at my school. They set up dorms, a Trader Joe’s, and a few restaurants all in the same giant building

>It's a museum
isn't that ironic?

You mean because it's new looking? Lol I guess

That's usually how it goes.
Retail on the bottom, apartments above.

Why?

Honestly man...that's hideous
I'm sorry to see that

Remember them government of Moscow decided to tear down old commieblocks?
This what they build on their place.

What an outstanding architecture.

I've never seen a residential building this tall in my life.

Maybe, because I've been to NYC a few times. But I don't even think their skyscrapers are residential.

Basically like a clusterfuck made by architects on speed.

Attached: SKYLINE-05.jpg (1000x588, 260K)

You think these were built in Stalin era?
No, they were built after 2008.

Clusterfuck designs like this are how the best cities are made. The architects know that.
Look at Italian and French cities

Forgot pic

Attached: 1547049713949.jpg (747x496, 172K)

A lot of skyscrapers here are mixed use. Lower part have offices and upper half have apartments.
I think it pretty common practice.

I mean, they are very functional and clean and they have nice interiors. I personally dont like it though.

That's pretty cool

Meant to reply to

What are you talking about? Legendary round commieblock was built it late 70s for 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
It also shows versatility of technology, you can build pretty much any building from prefabricated elements.

Hong Kong

This seems very inefficient for multiple reasons. A lot of unused space outside, awkward angled and curved interior walls, etc. What are the advantages of building such a building?

Built 2017, I moved in last year in April.

Attached: 144.jpg (2008x1339, 491K)

Doesn't get any more standard than this here right now. All new areas look this this.

I like these kind of structures honestly

Fuck gentrification

None, but socialists tried out commieblocks in every possible shape and arrangement.

And the nice thing about socialist commieblocks is actually that they're surrounded by lots of green and not crammed together block by block, but everything still remains decently walkable or busridable because all the shop locations and bus routes and block positions were planned out beforehand. Here's a nearby commieblock planned city from where I live, and in fact the largest planned city in modern times in all of Germany, my dad basically grew up here.

Attached: HalleNeustadtFromAbove1.jpg (2848x2136, 1.45M)

How loud are apartments in your cunt?

Older apartments tends to be poorly isolated with thinner walls, but the newer ones are much better.

Yeah I much prefer commieblock areas to these british style working class houses

Really, really, really depends on the type of construction. Pre-WW1 buildings are basically built like bunkers. Immensely thick brick walls. You'll never hear your neighbors, if anything you'll only ever hear some slight footsteps from the apartment above through the wooden floor, or people using the staircase through the apartment door. Pre-WW2 buildings are still pretty decent, but not quite as good because a lot of them were built as cheap social housing after WW1, though still with brick. After WW2 the quality varies wildly, for once between West and East Germany, and secondly between different eras or price points of construction. Early commieblocks in the east for example were still quite decent, but they must've changed the composition of the premade wall sections at some point because in later, more cheaply built commieblocks you can literally hear dogs barking through the wall multiple apartments away, and you'll hear footsteps from the apartment BELOW. Absolutely god-awful. Modern constructions are preferable to that, but even then you'll find some that are rather cheaply built and a bit audible inside.

Teach us the secrets of finnblock elegance.

Attached: 1525467913883.jpg (768x537, 177K)

Actually glad I live in these good old style commie blocks compared to modern buildings.

Attached: ektorp-w-1080x675.jpg (1080x675, 126K)

Thanks for the responses. Anything to look for well built apartments?

lol imagine not having to use your car to go shopping
must suck living in america

These actually were really aesthetics. Shame they ditched the design and started building generic commieblocks in the 70s

That's pretty

>perfect lines ruined by retarded steps in the window hight for staircases

like this

oops

another new building, this one's almost finished

He just wants to talk about who is white, whose country has more niggers, etc.
Actually talking about people's contries is over his head.

Why?

It makes our cities nice places to live, for the first time in our history.

Seattle is starting to look just like that and it's sad. They built one of these abortions right next to my building and the units will be open later this month.

Nice for whom?

Interesting. I thought in western europe they just built most buildings right up to the sidewalk.
You have little patches of grass like us

The white professionals who live in them.
I guess you're one of those SJWs who screams about displacing minorities every time white people clean up a neighborhood.

based

Yeah. I guess I am, since I don't pretend that poor people exist. If a law or practice is bad for a city's poor, that means it's bad for the city, since they are a huge part of it.

Don't pretend that poor people DON'T exist, rather.

Only disgusting skyscapers

Attached: 2018-06-23-22-59-25-519.jpg (800x657, 280K)

That would be such a cool view, though. Apartments in high buildings go for big money in America for that reason.

Rich white people. Gentrification increases homelessness, poverty, commute times, suburb development, crime.

Exactly.

Isolation is actually important if the country is cold, and you should consider that isolation also holds sounds from the street and neighbors out as well.

Yeah, they're planning on turning Mumbai into like a new york type City with skyscapers everywhere. Not really a big fan of that myself. Thankfully UNESCO designated the older, stylistic buildings in the city as a heritage site so they can't raze them down to make way for more skyscapers.

Building in the city increases building in the suburb?

Making neighborhoods safer increases crime?
Buildings homes increases homelessness?
Increasing the amount of rich white people increases homelessness?
That's more cognitive dissonance in one post than I've ever seen.

Meant to say
>Increasing the amount of rich white people increases poverty

But you get the point.
Americans have pants-on-head retarded views about cities.

That's incredibly interesting architecture.
Incredible mix of Eastern and Wectern together.

yeah it was built at a time when Hungarian architects drew heavily from oriental styles as they also fell to the we wuz mongols and shit meme, that's the reason for the eastern influences on a mainly neo-gothic building

sadly it was damaged heavily during WWII and the commies didn't bother with a proper refurbishment. thankfully our gov decided a couple of years ago to rebuild most of the buildings damaged or destroyed during commie rule, and this one is next on the list

Attached: SzentharomsagterFotoThalerTamas.jpg (1024x627, 161K)

Beautiful! Shame you don't see new buildings of this quality and timeless style in Europe any more.

Old towns have uniform architecture. These new projects just slap a bunch of clashing styles next to each other and rotate them in wacky angles, it looks pretty bad.

Attached: 1546903415367.png (720x720, 802K)

Something I've noticed about many of these new buildings is that the floor plans are awful. In old houses they're simple and functional, meanwhile they make no sense in newer developments and I don't even know how you're supposed to furnish a room that has a 45 degree corner or something

Attached: 18484124744_efdb3c5d01_b.jpg (1024x683, 239K)

Yeah it's really funny how developing a neighborhood is supposed to be bad. Whites just can't do anything right huh. When they move out of a shitty neighborhood, it's called white flight and it ruins the area. When they move into a shitty neighborhood, it's called gentrification and it ruins the area. Funny how this works

Attached: hqdefault (2).jpg (480x360, 7K)

ahh yes, how to make urban facades more vibrant:
>openings should be placed in a random unorganized matter, jeopardizing the entire structure
>tweak random compartments by extruding them a bit hehe
>add quirky pergola on rooftop that no one will ever get to use

After living on a hideous college campus where every single building had to be "collegiate Georgian," I now agree with Erdogan about architecture. No regulations, no uniformity, just bribes

Attached: Collegiate-Georgian-Dormered.jpg (980x350, 366K)

Literally the new commieblocks

Attached: similar apartment.jpg (800x533, 470K)

Are you a rich white person?

Either like this:

some extension to upmcs already massive hospital system in my city

Your first and last greentexts are incorrect. Yes the architectural style is pretty shit. Function is overall good though.

Or this:

that's not the street, thats the backyard.

Honestly wouldn't be bad if they bothered to put some fucking frames around the windows.

When did tasteful windows become a crime

Attached: gimme a fucking break over here will you.jpg (393x381, 28K)

We are trying to make it so you don't have to use your car to do everything.

But far-left and far-right people are making it difficult. They try to block new development in the city.

They renovated this building from 1879 in 2004.
All expensive appartments niet but beautiful

Attached: 1d9b98b1.jpg (2048x1367, 627K)

i'm a functionalist as well, i just don't see how these random tweaks in the facade serve the latter

Dutch buildings look like a nicer version of English buildings

Don't tell them I said that

Well I'm white and a person, but I don't know how I'll pay next month's rent

It seems like they could go with a pretty plain facade and just make the windows fancier. That was like 90% of traditional European buildings.
Probably same in beirut
