I've been researching and I can't belive all the things I read, I'm starting to think the meme is real, have americans here something to say about this?

Great post...not

Sorry, here is something of what I read

>A medical consultation, a media round of $ 100 and a general practitioner. If a blood test is included, it amounts to more than $ 700.

>An MRI costs more than $ 1,000, and for example a mammogram more than $ 300.

>An ambulance transfer totals more than $ 600, but it is also the result of an accident with a skull fracture and cerebral hemorrhage, the cost increases by more than $ 300,000.

>A very common case during a trip is appendicitis, which presents itself regretfully and requires immediate intervention, with a postoperative period of 5 days of hospitalization, the cost raised to $ 50,000.

>One night of income, it goes up to $ 7,000. But in the account of the stay in the hospital in the United States, it is at $ 30,000.

>And finally, a helicopter transfer to a hospital over $ 9,000. Skiers care.

It’s actually quite simple, we have health insurance. People get it from their work the vast majority of the time unless they’re a poorfag

Most of the memes are factual
An ambulance is 3,000 dollars if you're uninsured. We're also looking to buy medication from Canada to reduce cost.

>unless they’re a poorfag
when are you a poorfag in usa?

Ignore the American I linked. Our healthcare costs were fine until they were blown through the roof by a law called the """Affordable""" Care Act. You might know it as Obamacare.
Completely privatized healthcare and fucked over the American consumer.
A very close friend of mine pays over 3 thousand dollars a month for him and his 3 kids.
....
3k a fucking MONTH. 36k a year.
Fuck our politicians they're all hacks.

Do you have to pay for ambulances in the US? Here they're free

Yes

>Our healthcare costs were fine until they were blown through the roof by a law called the """Affordable""" Care Act.
it actually started going up way earlier

If you're going to post a graph then post one that includes after the bill was enacted...

american like to pretend they are free because they dont pay healthcare taxes to ebil gobern but double the amount to great corporations

The real line to look at is 2009 or 2010. The dotted is really top kek bullshit.
It's doubled in ten years.

Never, ever believe americans on imageboards who defend our healthcare system. We spend way more on healthcare for worse-quality care than any other developed country.

It's ridiculous and Republicans want to keep it the way it is.

Universal healthcare ends up saving your country a shitton of money, especially over the shit system we have.

But the thing is we do pay healthcare taxes. We HAVE public healthcare, it's just a really shit system that doesn't guarantee coverage and costs twice as much as yours. Our healthcare is retarded.

>the multiplier was much higher the years before
>i-ignore it that wasnt approved by a nigger

doesnt it only work for life threatening conditions? like if you have localized tumor you have to fuck off but in a couple year when you are dying of some complication you will get treated for 100x the expenses

I will never understand the argument against universal health care or a public option. I'm not even a libtard and I find the argument against having universal/single payer to be retarded
>muh communism and socialism
>w-wait lines...
>yeah well nazis did that
>strips Americans the freedom to choose what plan best works for them
>if you want healthcare you need to be a wage slave
>How will we pay for it?!
>it might work in Europe but we have a larger population
>it would hurt economic growth
>the middle class would pick up the tab
best part is the people who say this shit are self described Christians or "American first"

Well, let's see you refute those arguments.

when you live in a trailer

The point about paying for it is the best one and I'd like to see him address it.

The overwhelming majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and are poorfags

The thing is, universal healthcare would be cheaper than the system we have now.

Also, when you have millions of uninsured people, it imposes huge indirect costs on your society.

Not him but poor shithole countries like Cuba can pay for it so it’s reasonable to suspect that it wouldn’t be a problem for the richest country in human history to pay for it

It goes without saying that reducing us to Third World health care quality probably would be cheaper. I'm sure in Nigeria they spend less per capita on health care than the US or Germany.

Through taxes?

>Not him but poor shithole countries like Cuba
>Cuba
You were doing ok until this part.

Attached: trash.jpg (778x1018, 140K)

>Through taxes?

And where would this tax revenue come from? If you had 100% income tax rates you'd probably fund said UHC for about six months at most.

Imagine being this dumb.

>communism and socialism and nazis
Guess the entire developed world is a national socialist shit hole
>wait lines
if you don't want to wait, use the private sector
>How will we pay for it?!
The ultra rich, big banks and corporations are making record gains. Meanwhile, we don't get shit. We've spent trillions of dollars in unwinnable wars against random brown people. Military budget is over bloated. We spend the most in healthcare and it's fucking garbage.
Stop being a mouth breathing bootlicker
>hurt economic growth
More people would be able to contribute to the work force
>middle class would pick up the tab
Even of they did, they'd be saving money on medical cost

Got any numbers to back up that claim?

>The ultra rich, big banks and corporations are making record gains. Meanwhile, we don't get shit. We've spent trillions of dollars in unwinnable wars against random brown people. Military budget is over bloated. We spend the most in healthcare and it's fucking garbage

And he did exactly what I expected him to do which was have no arguments other than the stale class warfare talking points he learned from his feminist studies professor.

You made the assertion first that your proposed UHC scheme could be paid for through taxes without giving any figures for how it could work.

Not an argument

>amerislaves

In all seriousness, can you be a bigger boot licker?

Reducing your "argument" to generalizations this bad is admitting you lost.

knew a guy that had to take a helicopter ride for a town 90 minutes away to the good hospital when he had a heart attack

cost him $40,000 for the helicopter ride, no exaggeration

actually you could get healthcare here for like $50 a month before Obamacare. now it's like $200+ a month plus a $6000 deductible

>knew a guy that had to take a helicopter ride for a town 90 minutes away to the good hospital when he had a heart attack
It would be no different in any country really; there's always poor, outlying areas without adequate health care services.

I've had health insurance my whole life so I've never had to pay for anything. Then again I live in New England.

worse quality care for some*, some of the care is the best in the world but it is just not exactly affordable for many people

What a shitty fucking system

If anything, it's government overregulation that drives up health care costs.

t. NEET

By "many people" you mean "99% of Americans"

He also neglected to mention that even though you get it from work, you still have to pay out of your paycheck for it. And a co-pay when you go to the doctor. And a yearly deductible.

basically our super poor get free government healthcare it's the lower middle class that actually get fucked over.

If they work two part time jobs their work won't give them healthcare so they'd have to get obama care which is like 100$ a month but is pretty bad.

Why should you have healthcare if you don’t pay for it?

it isnt 99% of americans, and i think one thing that makes it worse is people here are terrible with money. It is the only way to explain people getting in to student debt over $50k and abusing credit cards as a boomer

Obamacare is like $300/mo dude.

American liberals like Bernie Sanders have a tendency to romanticize European social democracies without understanding how they work or the demographic and cultural conditions of those countries, or that in practice even the Netherlands and Sweden have poor, depressed areas without a lot of jobs or access to health care that aren't shown in tourist brochures. All countries have them.

Harry Truman contemplated creating a socialized health care system after the war when European cunts were doing it but he encountered resistance and dropped the idea.

I work a decent job so I don't have to pay a fucking cent, and my insurance covers literally 100% of everything medical with no co-pays because I don't work at a shit job.

The health care system only fucks over the people who work shit minimum wage jobs with no insurance and blue collar workers whose corporate overlords only offer the bare minimum insurance.

I cant speak for anyone else, but ive never had to pay a large medical bill in my life, and I've had several surgeries. Just some small co-pays here and there.

>The health care system only fucks over the people who work shit minimum wage jobs with no insurance and blue collar workers whose corporate overlords only offer the bare minimum insurance.
wow dude good for you but that's a shitload of americans with no healthcare. Not really a good system for a 1st world country.

>muh demographics

Not an excuse. There are countries with equivalent amounts of black niggers that have universal healthcare of acceptable quality.

>did not read post
>falls back on weird racist strawman

>we can't have clean drinking water because a black might drink from the town well
Oh burgers

I’m just pointing out that there is nothing about our culture or demographics that makes having healthcare for poor people impossible.

You were the one who brought up race. I didn't.

>The health care system only fucks over the people who work shit minimum wage jobs with no insurance and blue collar workers whose corporate overlords only offer the bare minimum insurance.
Ah, good to know it only fucks the majority of people then.

Ok but still, if you look at Sweden, "immigrants" consume the vast majority of entitlement spending.

>I’m just pointing out that there is nothing about our culture or demographics that
This country is too goddamn big for that, although state and local health care like they have in Massachusetts is certainly doable.

Good job of not addressing my point, idiot.

What do you mean? The Soviet Union was far bigger than the USA and they did it. Canada is bigger and they do it.

Canada also has approximately 12% of our population. The part about the Soviet Union was clearly added for troll purposes and isn't worth commenting on.

If we’re talking in terms of population then look at China which has three times the population but is still able to provide healthcare to poorfags

Our whole system doesn't need to be nationalized there just has to be public option which provides an absolute floor for healthcare that people don't fall under. This would cover something like 30-50 million Americans which is less than what the NHS has to deal with.

americans treat their dogs better than they treat joe down the road

I have to wonder what this guy's strange fetish for totalitarian communist states is and why he thinks they're a model for anyone to follow.

No arguments detected

China has millions and millions of people with virtually no access to health care.

Compare the total percentage of Chinese with no access to healthcare to the total percentage of Americans with no healthcare. When you consider that our country is several magnitudes more educated and prosperous there is no reason for there to be a discrepancy. If there is then feel free to educate me

>Compare the total percentage of Chinese

Probably half of the population. 1.2 billion is a lot of people. Not like anyone except party elites get anything approaching First World health care anyway.

I'm and generally for a public option but you have to be crazy to think China provides adequate healthcare for their citizens.

That would be crazy, it’s a very poor country. But they’re off to a good start since nearly everyone there is insured to some extent by the government

I don't think you want the typical level of health care they have in China.
