The cheaper restaurants will sell chicken for 4 Liras while Lamb is sold for 6. There are some higher class Döner shops though that will sell them for 10 liras. I usually just go with chicken in the poorer shops since its the safe bet

Also just look for shawarma or falafel if you can't find kebab in your city, it's basically the same thing. I'm in Belo Horizonte and I can find it easily, São Paulo and Rio should be even easier.

It's highly overrated. You're never quite sure what's actually in the meat (chicken version is a little better). Also the bread is crunchy and dry (durum roll is better), the sauces have an overpowering flavor and otherwise it's just full of salad and kraut filler. Durum roll with chicken and all salad, no kraut is a noticable improvement, but a proper pita gyros with fries will always be superior.
