How are local trains in your are?
Pic related is trains in my area, most people use them to go to NY. I don't take the train too often so I can't say how overall good the service is, but I've heard other countries have way better trains than the US.

no trains where I live :'(

their top speed is like 40km/h

Britain really needs to step it up. What a rotten apple.

It's not uncommon to see trains 4km long

This is my local train. Is comfy because it goes also to Milan so I don't have to use the italian one :^)

we have ICE what is built by siemens/alstom and a part bombardier. technical components get exported nearly everywhere.
when it comes to regional trains we have hundreds of different ones.
best cunt in the world when it comes to trains is schwitzerland.

A fucking rip off.

We used to have top tier train systems before the car lobby killed them.

>siemens
We have those for our city trains, they're OK.

the tariff of deutsche bahn the same you have with airlines. if you have an urgent, spontaneous journey and head to the station tomorrow morning you get robbed by them.
but if you are flexible in time and date and order the ticket half a year in advance you could cross the whole country for 29 euros.

looks more like the black line to manchester during rush hour.

>local trains
The concept of local trains is a bit weird in the Netherlands since in general our railroad system is national. However the one exception happens to be where I live since Groningen has a few dead-end railroads operated by Arriva diesel trains, whereas everything else is operated by the Dutch railroad company using overhead electric ones.
These diesel trains really only drive to the edge of the country to pick up 20 people per day or something, but they are good for what they are I suppose and also more reliable since they don't rely on any infrastructure.

All the blue lines are normal trains and pretty much connect the entire country. The yellow and red lines use diesels I think and are the result of companies being allowed to bid on public tenders. They are much simpler and service low density population areas.

>arriva
arriva has got great service in other cunts and is owned by the german state.
no need to say that germans dont get something like service at all. we only pay and get nothing.

They got to have great service because part of their contract is that they get big fines if they don't manage to get say 95% reliability. Meanwhile Dutch railroads can get away with anything.

there are so many cunts that are so much better than this fucking shithole here:
>norway
>holland
>iceland

too bad im only a fucking engineer and not some fancy economicsfaggot who works for mc-circlejerk-kinsey. so i dont get a good job in these cunts as they dont have enough industry and im stuck here. fuck this shit.

the only train around here is this one. It's a touristic train, but also carries students.

These are all over Europe. They're pretty gud but our new color scheme is really ugly

I think I prefer these older chunky boys. Those previous ones operate in the city area and then these ones go a bit further to other towns

There's two companies, Metro and CPTM and some of their lines have different models of trains.
Most are modern, but CPTM operates some from the 50's.

Pic related in metro.
